Wordpress
How about a Hootsuite plugin for wordpress that allows editors to have hootsuite controls in the "edit post" page. Allow editors to write a post, and then use the hootsuite plugin to schedule when their new post would be sent out to social networks, or view hootsuite analytics for specific posts.
Hi everyone!
We’re happy to announce that support for self-hosted WordPress.org is available via the HootSuite App Directory: hootsuite.com/appdirectory
More information about the WordPress app and related features can be found here: http://help.hootsuite.com/entries/22188562-wordpress-org-app-overview
If you are having difficulties adding your WordPress app please check out this help article on connecting your blog: http://help.hootsuite.com/entries/22201246-wordpress-org-app-known-issues
Thank you for your continued feedback and thanks for using HootSuite!

With so many people using wordpress as their website platform, it would be extremely convenient to be able to access/post to them along with the other social sites from one central location (e.g. Hootsuite).

Also, there's plenty of functionality in the core wordpress to query comments, etc. the "client status" plugins use a special API key to gain access to basically all of wordpress. would be pretty simple to do the same thing. make an API key on hootsuite.com, enter it into the hootsuite plugin, bam... instant access to everything.

if you made a simple plugin for self-hosted wordpress installs, for hootsuite to plug-in to, this would fix the problem. the posting portion im sure would be similar to the self-hosted "email to post" plugins that exist (i think it was native for a few versions too).

Just to add my 2-cents to this ... we are considering becoming an Enterprise customer and all of our web sites are self-hosted, WordPress based. Integration of both blog posting and managing blog comments via HootSuite would be a very valuable addition.

How about an update. The last Hootsuite response appears to be from over 1 year ago. I love Hootsuite but right now it is not worth upgrading to the pro version until self-hosted wordpress blogs and Google+ is supported.

Please consider Chris as many of us use self-hosted blogs in order to move our website up google ranks and I love HootSuite but it is not capable to connect to my self hosted wordpress blog.

This option has come up for me a few times now in client meetings. It would be a useful tool. all my clients wordpress accounts are self hosted and not hosted at Wordpress.com

ditto. If we can integrate our self-hosted Wordpress blog, this would be invaluable

Just a suggestion couldn't you require they setup a specific plugin like XMLRPC and MetaWebLog API or MovableType then use that to connect.
And don't you already support the Blogger API?

This is huge for us as well. Right now you guys are integrating everything tightly in one spot (which is why we signed up). The only thing you are lacking for us is tying in our self hosted WP. That could lock us down as a long term customer.

All that just sounds too confusing for me :(

The consensus is clear: We (your customers) would be delighted if we had the ability to connect our self-hosted wordpress blogs with HootSuite. Not only would we be delighted (expectations highly exceeded in comparison to similar offerings on the market), it appears that MOST of us would be willing to pay. Honestly, Owls, you CAN'T go wrong there.....Besides, I'm sure someone (you or your competition) will figure it out before too long.

How about Expression Engine based CMS? Happy to purchase a plugin licence for EE and for self hosted WP sites I manage.
