Wordpress
How about a Hootsuite plugin for wordpress that allows editors to have hootsuite controls in the "edit post" page. Allow editors to write a post, and then use the hootsuite plugin to schedule when their new post would be sent out to social networks, or view hootsuite analytics for specific posts.
Hi everyone!
We’re happy to announce that support for self-hosted WordPress.org is available via the HootSuite App Directory: hootsuite.com/appdirectory
More information about the WordPress app and related features can be found here: http://help.hootsuite.com/entries/22188562-wordpress-org-app-overview
If you are having difficulties adding your WordPress app please check out this help article on connecting your blog: http://help.hootsuite.com/entries/22201246-wordpress-org-app-known-issues
Thank you for your continued feedback and thanks for using HootSuite!

You say it's 'worth considering'. Is it being considered or not?

I set up a WP blog solely because I thought it would integrate with my HS Pro account. I am very disappointed. As a business owner I need the plugins and customization available by self hosting. Please make this a priority!

C'mon, it should be quite easy to develop a plugin for wordpress. It seems that you don't really pay attention to it. It could be a great point for Hootsuite. In my agency we coordinate more than 10 blogs, so it woyld be greatly appreciated.

Forget waiting for an API. We'll gladly install a WP plug-in that follows best-practices. Thanks!

We're still waiting for an update on this after voting six months ago...now have 5 WP self-hosted blogs for organization. Not planning to subscribe to Hootsuite Pro until this issue can be resolved.

are there any updates on integrating self-hosted blogs into hootsuite?
also, i was wondering if there is a way to post photos so they are visible, instead of a url?
thanks.

HootSuite is a very valuable tool, and the addition of self-hosted Wordpress blogs would make it one of those "Absolutely Essential" tools, to a level even greater than it is now. I can tell you that, for my six wordpress blogs, I would gladly add a plugin to enable such functionality. Nobody else has seemed to do it with the kind of class and Interface that HootSuite does with the Social Networks. Please, please, please!!!

Not having support for self hosted WordPress is pretty much a deal-breaker for me as well.

Completely agree with what others have said, this is functionality I would be happy to pay for and desperately need. Our business desperately needs to integrate all of our social media into one place and cuurrently, I am spending far too long using hootsuite and then my linkedin group and self hosted blog seperately.

Just signed up 20 minutes ago for Pro w/o knowing the MISLEADING inclusion of WORDPRESS in the list of supported sites was for Wordpress.COM. Be specific. Canceling right now. Feel free to contact me when you really support Wordpress and you'll have a paying customer.

I'm on my trial of Pro and mostly liking it, but if I can't connect to my Blogger and self-hosted WP blogs, I don't know that it will really be worth paying for. Scheduling posts inside WP can be a nightmare, offering that would get a lot more people paying for the service. And if SocialOomph can do it, why can't HootSuite?

Seems like it could be a deal-breaker for me too as I have several regional blogs and the ability to quickly post a blurb and a link to 2 or 3 (or more) was one of the features I expected in the paid /pro version.
I should have researched it before signing up.
Can't believe that we can post to Self-Hosted WP installs from multiple apps on PC / Mac ? iPad / Etc, but not from HootSuite...
I have a sneaky feeling this is not a case of "can't do it" it is a case of "we could get even more money for this"...
If a free app on the iPad can post to self-hosted WP blogs I do not believe the developers at HootSuite can't do the same.
Just thinking...
