I use Twitter 80%. I don't want FB there.
Anonymous suggested:
I would like an option to deselect Facebook from my usual dashboard WITHOUT deleting it as an account. I want to be able to choose what normally shows up as my regular account choice. To make sure I'm clear: Twitter and Facebook show up by default. I have to "Deselect" Facebook if i don't want to update that account. But I do 80% of my Hootsuite work in Twitter and I don't want to click deselect over and over for every tweet. But I like having it remember my Facebook info for the other 20% of the time and would not be bothered if i had to "select" it for those few times. I though it used to do this. Please give the user just a bit more control over accounts chosen in the main update dashboard section.
Anonymoustag:feedback.hootsuite.com,2008-02-07:Event/107078432012-02-07T15:48:57+00:002012-02-07T15:48:57+00:00what is the status of self-hosted WordPress blogs support in Hootsuite? In other words, I would like to be able to create a column two which I could assign arbitrary stream sources.
For example, I want Home for a Twitter account for a brand, News Stream for a Facebook Page for a brand and a Twitter search related to that brand all in one column.
The options for a stream column are currently, "Filter By" and "Delete Stream." What I would see is, "Add another stream..." that would allow me to include any other stream that I could otherwise include as its own column.

mackaaij said:

I used CoTweet before and liked the idea of Direct Messages and @mentions in one column (Inbox). Using a color to differentiate between both. Functions as a todo list for the team.

In CoTweet you can also see all replies from the account to a user below a tweet. This is convenient in a team setting.

You can archive tweets in CoTweet, meaning you can clear the inbox of DM's and replies/mentions. So not an archive of a keyword or something like that, an archive of the Inbox (DM's and replies/mentions) - including replies below a tweet.

To complete this, you can see former discussions with people (CoTweet Conversation, 30 days history for free). Twitter Search only goes back for about a week. A small notification that there is indeed a former discussion would be nice, CoTweet shows a counter below the tweet.

mackaaijtag:feedback.hootsuite.com,2008-02-07:Event/107029892012-02-06T20:51:19+00:002012-02-06T20:51:19+00:00Add the ability to read tweets in something resembling chronological order
Phronk suggested:
Maybe I'm missing something here, but it seems like this is the expected way to read a stream of tweets:
1) Read all tweets available.
2) Scroll down just a smidge so it doesn't keep jumping to the top.
3) Wait for new tweets to load.
4) Click on "X unread messages". (Unless there are more than 30)
5) It jumps to the top anyway.
6) Scroll down and try to remember what the last tweet you read was.
7) Read that tweet again.
8) Continue scrolling up, reading new tweets.
9) Repeat.
Maybe it's just me, but 9 steps just to do something as basic as reading tweets in chronological order seems like a lot. I'd like to just press a button to (or have Hootsuite automatically) load tweets above my current position, so I can just scroll up endlessly and read my stream in the order it came in.
Thanks.
Phronktag:feedback.hootsuite.com,2008-02-07:Event/107029802012-02-06T20:50:02+00:002012-02-06T20:50:02+00:00Add "people talking about this" and "check ins" to Facebook stream
Anonymous suggested:
Add "people talking about this" and "check ins" to Facebook stream
Anonymoustag:feedback.hootsuite.com,2008-02-07:Event/107026362012-02-06T19:51:30+00:002012-02-06T19:51:30+00:00Add support for Google+ social network [updated]
As soon as possible :)

Anonymous said:

Really guys, no new updates on this? I would like to be able to export All of my community (lists members, friends, followers, etc.) to excel so that I could conduct ad hoc analysis (e.g. sort by no. of followers), and add ad hoc columns per tweeter for notes, scores, etc.
Ideally I would be able to create a table where each community member is a row, and default columns would include twitter account follower, friend, listnames (up to 20 per account), number of followers and friends (people they follow), for each member. Any other data from twitter pulled by Hootsuite (e.g. when member`s account was created, frequency of tweets, location, etc.) would be ideal for adding as columns if desired. Each column would be checked where relevant so that, for eg, a person might be a member of more than list, be a follower in one of my twitter accounts, and a friend (I follow) in another as well as be a member of one or more lists in that other account.
Being empowered with this data about my communities from Hootsuite together with Excel`s awesome analytic power would incredibly enhance my efficiency, effectiveness, knowledge and learning.

Luckily, I was watching and caught it, then posted manually. Please develop fail-safe for this.
Katie Newporttag:feedback.hootsuite.com,2008-02-07:Event/106818872012-02-03T21:48:31+00:002012-02-03T21:48:31+00:00REPORT SPAM EMAIL WITH ow.ly LINKS [updated]
When you get spam with ow.ly links in them -> forward your emails to ec2-abuse@amazon.com because ow.ly and hootsuite.com PROMOTE spammers and are ignorant to ALL complaints.

Chris from HootSuite (admin) responded:

Send all complaints of spam to abuse@hootsuite.com.

Let's say I put in 20 updates, decide that one should go out every 8 hours, and you do the rest. :o)
Jeanettetag:feedback.hootsuite.com,2008-02-07:Event/106809172012-02-03T19:24:58+00:002012-02-03T19:24:58+00:00Make it easy to pick thumbnail for Facebook posting
KABIC suggested:
Some webpages harbor tens of pictures. (I've encountered as many as 68 on a single webpage.) Picking the appropriate picture through left and right clicking on the hootsuite applet window is inefficient and not fun in such case.
Please make it easy to pick the thumbnail picture by displaying all the thumbnail photos on the page in a gallery-style!
KABICtag:feedback.hootsuite.com,2008-02-07:Event/106804632012-02-03T18:18:05+00:002012-02-03T18:18:05+00:00Bulk Schedule needs to allow accented characters for languages like Spanish and French
Patrick suggested:
Bulk Schedule doesn't work with accented characters.
Characters with ASCII values greater than 128 cause 500 Internal Server
errors or timeouts. What's strange is that the upload works fine for all
messages before the accent, then error happens, then the HootSuite screen
doesn't provide any feedback. Non-English users are really going to have
a difficult time. On the other hand, you can schedule tweets individually
without the Bulk Scheduler and those tweets are sent out just fine.
Patricktag:feedback.hootsuite.com,2008-02-07:Event/106802652012-02-03T17:52:46+00:002012-02-03T17:52:46+00:00facebook page home feed [updated]
When using a facebook page it only shows the page's feed...
Would be nice to be able to see the facebook pages HOME feed (of all the other pages this page has liked)... until this is possible I will still need to log into facebook to catch this stream. would love to be able to just stay in hootsuite.

Susan Dosier said:

I SO agree.
