please please please could you get functional consistency between different platforms eg web/ipad/iphone apps.
it is becoming frustrating able to do things like look at friendship status on ipad but can't do that on the web page. On the web you can see klout scores, but not on the ipad. why can't you make them all work the same?
9 votesWe obviously aim for feature consistency, but some features are easier to pull of on some platforms than others.

Please move the Refresh button away from the menu bar.
I keep crashing into it. Perhaps just move it to the right of Add Stream.
4 votesInteresting idea! We’ll consider moving this button away based on user interest. Thank you!

enable multiple direct message delete; ie "delete selected messages" feature.
Cleaning out the direct message inbox either with Twitter or though clients like HootSuite is a nightmare having to do it one message at a time. The ability to select multiple messages (even a "select all" capability) then delete those selected would be a huge plus.
19 votesThanks for the great suggestion! I can see how this would be useful, we’ll look into the possibility of adding this feature in the future.
-
Upload images directly to Twitter.com (not to ow.ly)
You can now easily upload images and share images with your tweets directly from twitter.com no need to use any other website or application. Can you please add an option to upload images via HootSuite directly to Twitter.com and not to ow.ly?
201 votesThanks so much for your feedback! Owly images now generate previews on Twitter, same as the native image hosting for Twitter. We’re continue to review the possibility of posting directly to Twitter in the future.

Combine multiple streams into one column
It would be super helpful to be able to create a container stream (column) that could have other streams added to it.
In other words, I would like to be able to create a column two which I could assign arbitrary stream sources.
For example, I want Home for a Twitter account for a brand, News Stream for a Facebook Page for a brand and a Twitter search related to that brand all in one column.
The options for a stream column are currently, "Filter By" and "Delete Stream." What I would see is, "Add another stream..." that would allow…
438 votesWe’re considering further ways to allows users to customize their streams.

Recurring events
Schedule recurring events from the scheduler without having to do a batch. See Sprout Social's service - very robust and clear reporting, simple user interface for scheduling recurring messages. I would rather upgrade to pro on hootsuite and have this ability here instead.
473 votesThanks so much for the feedback! We’ll be evaluating this feature request in the future.

RSS Feed Special Characters
We're using the RSS feed feature to copy our tweets from twitter to facebook. It appears as it should on twitter, but when hootsuite copies it over, it shows other characters as html code (i.e. " instead of " ). It'd be amazing if it would convert it from the html code to whatever is facebook friendly.
6 votesThanks so much for your feedback! For best results, ensure your RSS feed is encoded using UTF- 8. We’ll be looking into supporting html code special characters in the future.
-
Posting a photo to a facebook page album
The ability to post directly to a specific album in a Facebook page. I would like to be able to control what album my photo goes into on my page.
34 votesWe’ll consider further ways to enhance image uploading.

Give an option to delete multiple social profiles at once!
when we are trying to update our facebook groups we are unable to delete all at once.Which is driving us crazy all the time whenever needed.
11 votesWe’re always looking at ways to make HootSuite easier for all our users.
-
Google+ Pages - Allow +1 and Reshares
Allow for doing a +1 on posts in our Google+ Page stream (like the Facebook stream allows a Like) and also the ability to do a reshare of someone's post in the stream (like the Twitter stream allows a retweet). t is too cumbersome to open each post in a browser window every time you want to perform these functions. The ability to comment on a post in the stream does work well already.
24 votesWe always look at ways to further improve social network integration.
-
Allow us to drag and drop sort the social network icons on the top right (the ones we checkmark)
It is difficult to to eye scan all the social network icons inside the platform to which I might want to stream a message. It would be TEN times better to be able to sort them from left to right in the order that I prefer. And it would be even better if I were able to add separators (like Firefox bookmarks) in between the set of group profiles. (icons - upper portion of website)
316 votesGood idea that would offer better customizability. However, we are exploring other interface refinements too.

We hope to add additional functionality to Facebook in the upcoming future.

Share retweets on facebook via link preview
Currently when I want a retweet to show up on my facebook account, it shows up as a status update w/ the 'RT @whoever' format. I think it would be better to share a link to the tweet's display page. It would look a lot better and be clearer to those who do not use twitter.
6 votesWe’re always looking for usability enhancements for users who crosspost.
-
Allow additional assignments for team members.
It would be great if Hootsuite allowed users to write updates, RT's, etc. and then allowed them to assign that content to team members.
1 voteWe’ll examine further ways to extend limited permissions into assignments.
-
add feature to post directly to facebook event
Need feature to post directly onto a facebook event wall and this is done though the owner of the event i.e. the page or user.
20 votesWe’d love to add this functionality in the future to update event pages. Thanks for your suggestion!

bring back change font options
who in their right mind omits/removes this feature? I can't find it anywhere no matter the how-to says I can find it in preferences.
45 votesThis is a good idea, especially for users who may not want to change their browser preferences. Note that you can increase font size from your browser preferences through zooming in. Hope this helps!

Please get rid of the "you've been inactive for over an hour" .dialog
Please get rid of the "you've been inactive for over an hour" dialog. Who cares if I have! I don't tweet every minute of every hour 24 hours a day. I often just glance at Hootsuite on my laptop once in a while while I work to see if anything worthwhile has come up. I don't reply or post at least once an hour and shouldn't be reminded of it. This dialog is completely useless and extremely annoying!
45 votesThis dialogue box currently exists to preserve bandwidth. We’ll consider other alternatives for this function.

Display the name of team member who posted a tweet in the SENT column.
This already displays in the pending/scheduled tweets column which is very useful when reviewing what has been loaded up as you know who posted what when working in a team environment. Once they've been sent, however, there is no access to that same information on Hootsuite but I'm not sure why.
84 votesWe continue to review ways of improving team collaboration.

Usability: Make "Change Password" a button, not just text... it is the SAME COLOR as the titles now!
I am a budding UX designer, experienced web designer, and LONG-TIME user of the net. So when I get lost on a site, that is saying something. I looked for DAYS before I even thought to find your FAQ. Sure, I figured out how to do it, but still, what a poor design decision. It can't be a very hard change to make that a different graphic. Heck, contact me and I'll do it for you!
6 votesWe’re always looking at ways to improve functionality.

allow users to schedule tweets by the minute.
Your tweet scheduling is pretty good, but I'd love the ability to be able to schedule tweets by the minute. Sometimes I schedule daily recaps that post one after another for 5 minutes in a row. Currently I have to use CoTweet to handle that.
83 votesGreat idea! We’ll see if this is possible in the future.
