it would be very useful to have a spell check in hootsuite.
so when you create Tweets it saves times and embarassing mistakes.

Narrow Columns
Add the option to reduce the width of columns to, say, 75% of normal width. Or simply allow for more then 4 columns maximum. A similar feature exists in TweetDeck as an example.
1 voteBecause HootSuite is a web app, based on browser technologies, the number of streams is actually based on your screen resolution. For instance, the max amount of streams on a resolution of 1024×768 is three streams. On a resolution of 1600×1200, the max amount is 5 streams.
The number of streams HootSuite allows per resolution is based on browser performance considerations, as well as ensuring a quality standard for rendering.

Allow to Bulk Schedule WITH photos!
Currently you can bulk schedule with urls, I would like to include both a url and a picture in the scheduled post. As pictures become more important and even larger on Facebook Timeline pictures are becoming critical. PLEASE add this feature ( i would gladly pay more for it!)

Send Direct Messages to all users on your Twitter List
Is this possible? I want to create a list and then be able to send a dm to everyone on the list all at once. Kind of like creating an email and forwarding it to a mail group.

Snoozing
Just wanted to let you know that I really like the idea and that I'm very impressed with the interface. There is just one thing that makes this site pretty much useless: Snoozing. It says that there was no activity for an hour and then I have to wake it up, after which it refreshes feeds.
I always have the site open in a tab. I pass it, if nothing's changed, there's nothing to do and I can go do something else. Your site mistakenly doesn't register this as active. I have to refresh the page every so many minutes…

Create link previews for RSS posts
We can now create Facebook and Google+ posts with a link preview using the web interface. However, posts created by an RSS feed still do not create link previews.
112 votesWe have decided to decline this feature request at this time. If an RSS feed pulls the first picture from the post, there is no way to preview before posting, and the wrong image may be posted. We may consider implementing this in the future, but for now it is not on our product roadmap. Thank you for your understanding.

Remove the "____ shared a link via HootSuite" text that appears on my personal FB page.
This tagline competes with my posts. Having this in a free version is fine but when we pay for the Pro version it's not. Is there a way to eliminate this?

Provide bit.ly integration
I hope it isn't sacrilegious to suggest bit.ly usage (ow.ly is cool too, I've just invested a lot into bit.ly). I've been using & comparing HootSuite with CoTweet. HootSuite is winning because of it's additional features (publishing to Facebook & LinkedIn particularly). But one aspect I like about CoTweet is that it allows a user to integrate their bit.ly account into their URL shortener. I would love that ability here as well - and would even purchase the HootSuite iPhone app if that were the case. Thanks!

125 votesWe already provide a great service for picture hosting called owly to upoad your pictures. We understand people want to use different tools, as such we encourage developers to create apps for our app directory (http://hootsuite.com/app-directory).

Add the option to have automatic replies to new followers
Having some dashboard control of viewing and/or replying to new followers would help for PR and customer relations purposes. Auto-reply for new followers would be incredible. Thanks!

Two text boxes when posting: short one for Twitter, long for FB, Linkedin, etc
Its a pain to have to write a short post for Twitter and then re-post a longer one for FB, Linkedin, Google+. If you had two text boxes: ashort one for Twitter, long for FB, Linkedin, etc., the text in the short one would appear in the long box. You could then extend and edit the long version and post both at the same time.

Bring back notification of Twitter character limits before having to click on a Twitter account
A few days ago, I noticed that the character limit notification will only appear after you click on a Twitter account to the right. I read from left to right (most ppl do), so I like to write my post, see if it's within the character limit, then click on the accounts I'd like it posted to. The way it's been changed, I have to click on the twitter accounts first, then post...iI'm a social media director and this is really slowing me down...
1 voteFor best results, we recommend always choosing the profile first as it will generate the proper preview and character count. In the past, if you had a link and selected the Twitter profile after composing, it would lose characters. This will ensure accuracy for all users. Thanks for your feedback!

Include Facebook Preview with Bulk Upload
I'd like to use the bulk upload, but really need a Facebook Preview included. Maybe a Yes/No column in the spreadsheet for Preview?

At this current time we must decline this feature to to the nature of .CSV files being unable to parse links for images, then determine the social relevancy of the correct thumbnail to be attached for the URL.
However, we are committed to improving our HootSuite Publisher and Bulk Scheduler, and we hope to re-look into allowing bulk scheduling with images in the future.

put the "via hootsuite" when updating status on facebook page too please.
it's like when updating status on personal facebook account, i can see the update was xx minutes ago "via hootsuite". it would be great if it's shown when updating status on facebook page too.

Built-in tweet-longer function
It would be good to be able to manually override the 140 character limit and, like file uploads, have the full tweet go to a HS-hosted URL, similar to the twitlonger service.
754 votesAfter review, we must decline this feature request. As a Twitter Product Partner, HootSuite must take special care to not violate Twitter’s Terms of Service, specifically articles I-5-A, I-5-D, and II-4-B (https://dev.twitter.com/terms/api-terms)
Please note that while TweetDeck once had this feature, Twitter has since removed it. We must comply with Twitter’s wishes, and will therefore not implement this feature request.

for the 30 days of free trial, I feel it is better to not ask for bank information. it is better to ask their bank information after 30 days because even we want to try, might likely to pay, but at the beginning, no one wants to give their bank info.
