Improve addressbook and Autocomplete
Although autocomplete when typing @ into a new tweet is available it only shows recently typed twitter IDs rather than searching my whole list of people I follow like Tweetdeck does. I also find the addressbook difficult to use as there seems to be no way to search through it when looking for a User ID to type a new message or include in a message. I can only seem to page through my followers or those I follow to find the correct ID.

We are constantly looking at ways to improve usability. These are two good suggestions.

I agree. This is one of the things that I used most often in and miss about Tweetdeck.
