Recurring events
Schedule recurring events from the scheduler without having to do a batch. See Sprout Social's service - very robust and clear reporting, simple user interface for scheduling recurring messages. I would rather upgrade to pro on hootsuite and have this ability here instead.
We continue to consider further ways to add more functionality to HootSuite’s scheduling services.

When I joined Hootsuite you could schedule multiple times for one message to go out - I was shown the facility during training last November. This was the principle reason I upgraded to Pro. Now I learn from Hootsuite that, (for me), this crucial part of their service is simply not available any more - not that I suppose they'll be offering me a refund for the last few months subscription - they recommended I add something to this forum instead. THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!

Yeah, this is one reason I switched away from Hootsuite. Having to do batch messages, and being forced to make everyone different was a big time waster for me. I moved over to Sendible which allows reoccuring events and the messages can be the same. I only post about one message a day, though.

Would love it if you guys can add the recurring feature. Having to do a batch and manually adds way too much work and slows down productivity.

We agree - we pay for pro and the lack of recurring events is killer. We are going to switch soon because it is a time kill.

Please add the functionality to send messages on a recurring basis. Having to schedule every single message for weekly classes that go year round is very tiring. Please help us out with this!

I'll add my vote for this feature. I handle social media for my client and we post strategically-timed Tweets every evening at a time that is tied into our branding. We often have large-scale events that we want to promote via Twitter over several weeks leading up to the event, with repeating (non-spam) posts to boost ticket sales - it would be a HUGE help to have a way to do this via HootSuite without having to go to the bother of creating a .csv file for these posts. Would really like to see something by way of a response from HootSuite on this, other than "we continue to consider further ways to add more functionality...". If you truly want to keep your customers happy - especially your paying ones - you should seriously consider adding this feature.

You know what would be awesome, is a "Sprinkle" function in HootSuite where if you want a tweet to go out multiple times (for example, in the lead up to a webinar or event, or to keep promoting a good blog post or landing page), to be able to click a 'Sprinkle' button where you can then specify an end date (if you want to -- e.g. if for an event or something that expires) as well as specify how frequently -- e.g. Daily, Almost Daily, Twice a Week, Weekly --- and the 'Sprinkle' element is where HootSuite would intelligently AutoSchedule but ensure a 'repeat tweet' doesn't go out on the same day of the week at the same time, to try to avoid the same users seeing repetitive tweets. Hope that makes sense. In SproutSocial we have been 'manually sprinkling' tweets via the Cmd+click on the Calendar to pick a variety of days. The problem with that though, is that even if you sprinkle across different days of the week, they will all be at the same time of day ... unless you repeat the process of selecting a different time of day, and then selecting different days from the prior group selected. Sprinkle the love ... :)

I have been a loyal SproutSocial user and the ability it gives you to manually schedule the one tweet to go out on various days (e.g. today, next Tuesday, the following Wednesday and then the Friday two weeks later, as a random example) is terrific. All the user needs to do is hold down Command (Mac) as they click multiple dates in the Calendar. HootSuite lacks this -- you only allow the user to select one date in the Calendar. Please allow multiple date selection. Thanks!

Please allow automated do it again messages! Genuinely, hootsuite needs it to remain aggressive with other systems.

I agree with others that the practice of carefully staggered repeats (not spamming) is becoming an industry standard that Twitter is not trying to stop. It's been almost a year since you commented on this. Any updates you can share?

Please enable automatic recurring / repeat messages! Hootsuite needs it to stay competitive with other platforms. For example Sprout Social have it but you need to set it up and the same for Gremln.

I love the way Gremln lets you schedule recurring posts - with an end date. Please include an end date for schedules recurring messages as well! I already have Pro with you and to have this function in Gremln costs me just as much as Hootsuite!

I am on my 30 day free trial, and if this is not a functionality, I will be looking at other products that do offer this as it is a key element of what I am trying to accomplish. With regular weekly features, I need to be able to do this in order to take a vacation!

Any update info on this? We have regular Thursday and Friday features that I would like to post once and let HootSuite do the rest. Any suggestions?

is there are update on this. does hootsuite allow the option to send the same tweet say 3-4 times and perhaps integrate with autoschedule such that the message in the tweet gets the most unique readership?
