Delete @mention comments
I would like the ability to delete folks off of @mentions please. Need to delete rude comments.
This isn’t a functionality that is currently available through Twitter.

If you get spammy messages, click on their username to bring the account up on the panel. Click on the 'Report Spammer' link which will remove their posts from your Twitter timeline, doesn't report it from your Hootsuite stream for some reason but no-one should be able to see it on Twitter at least!

I agree! 'cause even if i delete the tweet that the person replied to, or if i change my username, my account is still linked to that tweet!

Thats outrageous...
Besides the fact I want to delete spam from my Mentions and also an abusive comment from a fellow I don't even know..., To make it worse I have an Android app called Tweeter for LG which is considering the tweets in "mentions" as a new tweet constantly and reminding me everyday of both the spam tweet and the abusive comment in mentions ..
WHY doesn't the tweeter people include a "delete" buttom.
I think they are parte of the NWO linked up with the bankers and the social-darwinian niilists who want to make people everyday dumber and more conformed with a "control-oppressive" society ruled by Lucifer worshipers...
Anyways.... -

I've been abused today and as there is no way of taking down this insult from a complete stranger I am leaving Twitter. Not becuase of the small minded individual but because Twitter couldn't care less....you've lost another user

I also don't think this is an appropriate response. Many of these @mentions are bullying. With all the publicity going on right now with bullying and it's negative affects one would think Twitter would take a a stronger stance. I received 2 days worth of harassing mentions. Please take those more serious. Your blanket answer Danielle as a representative os Twitter, makes it sound as though the company could care less.

If Twitter will not enable users to delete a spammer mention, could not HootSuite create a "hide" function at least? This way the mentions are not deleted, but at least hidden from view for HootSuite users.

A spammer 'mentioned' me with a link to a malware website. I'd like to be able to delete a mention that refers to me...

I too want to remove an unsolicited mention of my account name that directs people to a site I don't want associated with my name! I should be able to remove it.

Yes, I completely agree! Otherwise the spammers win. I have to look at that message for days until other @ mentions cover it up. This is very important to me! Thanks.
