I'm really disappointed that the CSV means there are no previews generated for Facebook, etc., We bloggers go a lot of effort choosing the right images for our articles, and the lack of imagery is not only boring to readers, but it CUTS DOWN ON CLICKS, and hence, sales. So this is NOT a small issue, and it would be great if you made this a priority. Can you not create something that converts CSV data to something that works the way it's supposed to?

It would be great if we could upload it to multiple accounts at once, the same way we can send an update to multiple accounts. You already have the ability to do that with the posts, so how hard would it be to apply that to the uploads? Of course, scheduling it to Ping instead of individual accounts can be a solution in some cases.

Yes, a simple solution to the date/time scheduling would be to put the date and time in two different column instead of one, it would make it dirt simple to create a list of dates/times from a sequence.

100 uploads per sheet would be great, and I like the suggestion someone had about a certain percentage allowed to be duplicate (not sure how you could monitor that, though!).

I'm currently writing a review of HootSuite for an eBook, and it's 99% positive. This is the only fly in the ointment I see so far. I've been using Twaitter over the past year, and it's proving to be more cumbersome than I originally thought. Honestly, if you could just iron out these few blips, HootSuite would be flawless.

BTW... I like how in publisher you can drag and drop things around. This is something Twaitter had promised, but never delivered. It means I can go in after I've uploaded the CSV and stagger some of the tweets across different accounts. It's super cool. Please do NOT change that!!!!

Agreed, we like to post the same information at different times of the day, week, and month so we are exposed to different demographics of people.

        1) Using the very painfully slow csv method doesn't allow post of the same message many times, we need to fix that please.
        2) The CSV file method takes forever I can manually post the same number of files just as fast using the web dashboard. Just more bad new about the bulk loader system as it stands..please dump this system and add a fully web based system to the dashboard.
        3) Posting different messages via CSV file is so slow it is pointless...we can post them via the dashboard one at a time just as fast? I am missing something here? What is the point of the CSV upload system or was this a stop gap?
The benifit of the Bulk upload is so you can post the same message quickly 20 times and just change the date and times it posts, it wouldn't take much of a change to the existing system to add this. Enter as we do now and then just have the option for additional dates.

I know this is a bit of a rant but bulk upload is a huge hole, I love Hootsuit but every-time I go to post and have to enter all my posts one at a time it kills me.

        Cheers..

@asdaskpads I don't follow. What do you mean you can't add comments to your posts? How does the CSV prevent this?
@Anonymous#2... how are you integrating google calendar?
@odanu I agree! I had no idea it was 5 min intervals. I thought it was minimum 5 min intervals. Very frustrating as I recently uploaded a CSV that started out at 5 minutes, then went to 15 and then 30. Everything posted just fine. Don't know what the challenge is now in Twitter. I posted to Ping the last time.

I definitely agree.. been here a month, and still havent been able to. eve after paying for hootsuite

Agreed. Even for the most CSV UTF-8 savvy, this system is not user friendly at all and it makes it difficult for those trying to post in bulk to want to use hootsuite as all when all you get is Internal Server 500 errors.

many of us find bulk scheduling useful, but more flexibility would be nice. My twitter followers would be better served by longer times between status updates, as well as the ability to "give it a rest" for a bit. Custom update periods a *minimum* of five minutes apart would be a great option -- and more than 50 at a time would be great, too.
