enable users to filter tweets out of homefeed based on keyword
I want to be able to prevent certain words from ever showing up on my timeline. I want to MUTE keywords, but continue to follow the user. For example, a specific word that I find offensive.
This is a great suggestion that would be beneficial to many of our users.
PLEASE! Several free tools seem to be able to handle this with no problem, so it's really absurd that HootSuite can't.
Yes, please please please
This is one of the very few things missing in Hootsuite. I would like to filter out the "usual suspects" tags such as "free sex," "get followers," or "make money online."
In some cases I do very much value some people for some of their tweets, but am so totally not interested in some of their other tweets. Merely that they #also tweet about things I so totally not care about does not mean I want to unfollow them. That would be the only option. But it would also mean I miss the other tweets that I #do care about.
In the past I did use Tweetdeck and switched from Hoot to TD whenever my TL was too flooded (btw, Global filter was one of two reasons for sometimes using TD, before it was "upgraded" - I totally dropped it now).

yes please -needed it tonight to filter out BBC aprentice information
Yes please! I love the people I follow but sometimes (usually when reality programmes are on!) the tweets are annoying. I'd love to block key words

Saw this on another forum somewhere connected to your site and it would really be helpful to have this feature. Tweetdeck does is, as does Twicca. I don't want to have to switch permanently to a different tool *just* to be able to mute topics/tags.
Please allow filtering by keyword, use and source of tweet.
