Remember a user once they log in
You have the check box that says you will, but you don't even retain the username, let alone the password. It's pretty annoying to have to manually type full login credentials every single time one wants to access their account.
Stop the constant daily logins! What a PAIN!
Sign in: Remember me box is checked but each visit I have to sign in and type the provided security code. This has been going on for weeks. Browser: Safari 6.0.5
login continually asks me to RE-login, This is going to drive me away from Hootsuite, and doubtless has many many users who won't bother to express their displeasure. Google is an example you should follow. It's not a "security" issue if the user has a choice as to how long a login cookie should last. Once a month is plenty long enough. Not having this login synced across platforms only makes this problem worse. Last Pass and similar apps are used because of the many different systems people have to login to, NOT to do a re-login constantly on ONE system. Quit telling users to "get last pass" as a "solution" to the problem. That comes across as "we can't complete a workable solution" so use this "workaround".
Users need to be able to set their own cookie expiration
For security, remembering a user will only keep you logged in as long as the cookies haven’t been cleared. If you close the browser, or use a cookie management program, you’ll find yourself logging in more often. We’ll look at ways to store usernames in the future. Thanks!
also, why am I "Anonymous" when I am logged into Hootsuite? Another login problem. YOu SHOULD be able to tell that I am a logged in Hootsuite user
