Choose default social network

The ability to choose default social networks for your posts would be great, and would definitely save time. I realize there are implications for multi-profile users but I'm just wondering that with more great features being rolled out, when would this one be implemented?
Pinned profiles now offer the users the ability to select defaults.

Check out the pin/new profile selector, shown when your mouse hovers the dropdown menu entry. Once pinned, the choice will be saved for the next session. -

I stopped using HootSuite for awhile because of this issue. I came back today to see if it was resolved. Looks like it still is an issue. I went through all the account settings and preferences and cannot find a place to set a default network to post to. 2 extra clicks to post is 1 too many. Not everyone is a corporate user. Make it an option and open up the application for more users!

In response to Chris from HootSuite, why not make it an option. If the primary account holder doesn't select a default network, the system would work the way it does today, requiring an additional two clicks for every post. In fact, you could create an admin setting that would turn the feature on for admins and not for everyone else. This is the single most frustrating limitation to using your product.

In reply to the admin: Sure it could be risky for some, but for the group of us that would love this feature, a setting could be added "remember previously selected social network for updates". Another option is to make it more clearer which social network is being posted to.

Make it a parameter setting. In that way you can choose yourself if you want a default or not. I really want it!

But please don't force us to! I don't want a default, I switch between several accounts when tweeting and retweeting. Would love to see you open up social network selection for API retweets :-)

The android app does this, I don't see why the browser version shouldn't either. Add it, give people the option, keeps everyone happy.

I think this is a good idea, but it definitely needs to be opt-in. I manage multiple accounts for the sake of keeping my personal, professional and business personas as separate as I can. I wouldn't want to risk tweeting something personal to my business followers.

Simple solution: put the account pic (that is currently active) right into the update window corner. So I can see at a glance which account is on default right now and don't have to move my eye over to the right side

How about making it an option? Where the user can keep it as it is now, or choose a default account.

I think this is not a feature request but a bug fix request. The fact that I have to use 5 clicks to send my message makes hootsuite unworkable for now.

Yes, I have a logical expectation that the given Tab that I'm on would default to the social network that created it. This is logically a setting for the tab.

This is a very important feature for me BECAUSE I want to use multiple accounts, but I still prefer my main (DEFAULT) account for 90+% of my tweets.
Without a default, I constantly have to click the little box, and as a result often make more mistakes (which as you pointed out, can be embarassing!) than if there were a simple default option.
In the past, I loaded multiple accounts onto Hootsuite, only to remove them after experiencing the type of problems described above. I'm posting here only because I recently added another account, and am already worried about the headache of checking and unchecking the right boxes!!!

I would love this feature! The lack of this feature single-handedly prevents me from using multiple accounts. I have one main account, and my secondary accounts are important to me, but don't need as frequent access.
In the past, I tended to make mistakes (tweeting assuming my main one would send out the post) or just get terribly annoyed at having to add one step to every tweet (check the right box).
Please make my life so much easier!

Your concern about corporate users can be dissuaded with making this feature a toggle. At the VERY least, please make the network "stick" for the whole session. Its really annoying having to re-click that horrible Send button that only likes the inner square to be clicked.
