I suggest you ...

Add "new followers" column

Tweetdeck has this feature, and I quite like it. It shows who recently followed you, without having to receive an email about it all the time.

In the CONTACT section, click on your TWITTER profile and you will see your followers. What sucks, however, is that you cannot respond to the directly from there.

We need a COLUMN, like there was one in old TWEETDECK, so that I can easily respond to new followers from it. Can that be added in? LIKE TODAY? I had to ditch TweetDeck for that reason (and a few more). Need a good option.

He means the tab for your accounts that is under contacts. You can't add a column, which really sucks, since Tweetdeck doesn't do this anymore, and it was a very valuable part of what I liked about them. I'm going to have to start running both, for various reasons, at the same time, and find some site that will send me an email of all my new followers each day... they really should add a column for this.

I find it kind of annoying that nobody knows where to find the 'People Section' in the dashboard and is asking for more info on this. Why is 'Chris from Hootsuite' not giving any extra info? This topic started over a year ago and no improvement.

A new follower stream would be great. I use lists to organize followers so that i can retweet relevant information when i see it. I've got those streams set up and it's great! What we need now is a stream for new followers please. One trick i did do was set up a "new followers in last ten days" list, and that helps, but it's not the most convenient way to do this - @WillisETech on Twitter.

Once you log in to Hootsuite you can select "Contacts" from the left hand side. If you then select a twitter account you can see who you follows and who you follow, however it does not show you NEW followers.

I can't find the 'People' section, either. Chris, could you please tell me how to find that section? David

Want to echo calls for a clearer explanation of how to do this. I don't understand where the "people section of your dashboard" is. Is this only in the pro version of Hootsuite? Otherwise am really happy with Hootsuite, but I've wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work, it's really frustrating.

Have any of you checked out http://twunfollow.com/ to see who is both following and leaving you? It's great! Just set up a RSS feed and you are off to the races. Always fun to see who follows you for a couple of hours as well.

Love hootsuite... just switched over from tweetdeck. I concur w/ others that the new follower column is something I miss... or don't know how to add as a stream.

I've seen that it was implemented in the people section, however it is possible to have this in "real-time" in a stream... otherwise, there's no way of knowing besides going and checking. Cheers, Brad

Hi I'm a new hootsuite user...just switched from the RAM sucking Tweetdeck and am thrilled except for the inability to see a stream for "New Followers". And sorry Chris, but you still have not answered the question...what "People" section? There's a "Contacts" option but that's just a list of followers/people I follow...do I need to "audit" it to see who's new? Why can't I simple add a stream like in Tweetdeck?

It's just not very well implemented, I think. I would like to see from the same page if I am already following a person. There's now way I can think of to see this in Hootsuite at the moment. The Tweetdeck implementation of this is just slightly better (sorry...).
With hundreds of followers I really don't know whom I am following and whom I'm not following.

The option is under "Contacts" in your dashboard. Would be nice to have it also avaukabke as a column to add to your streams, however....

Where is the "people" section, then...? I can't believe I can't find any of the features I came to Hootsuite for anywhere.

I'm with MG – I can't find the people section OR the dashboard. Isn't Hootsuite a dashboard in itself – so where's the people section? Help a luddite out ...

Call me crazy but i cannot find this option... can you screenshot where it is or something?

        thanks :)
