I suggest you ...

Auto fill @reply

The auto fill for @replies does not cover all the people I follow… A general user search would also be great to have. AND all of this should be available on the iPhone app.

HootSuite auto fills the Twitter handles of users you have mentioned already. We’ll look at expanding this to a general user search as well.

This is an essential feature. The last time I stopped using HootSuite it was because this was missing. I'm back to try it again...and not having autofill for all my followers is painful.

Tweetdeck handles this brilliantly. To me the auto fill whilst writing your status is essential. Why isn't this included?? And if it's being considered, when is it happening? A drop down list as you start to type @username is a basic requirement, surely?

This wouldn't have to be a "general user search." Merely incorporating everyone I'm following would be a great start! Either that, or integrate user search into the autocomplete interface.

This is literally my only complaint for this application. Needs a more robust auto-fill, I find myself going back to twitter.com which stinks.

Would be great if this did the same for # tags too, ie ones you are following (streams)
Also even more useful on Android app.... my god would it save hassles...

would be really nice for auto-complete when start typing in @ mention to list people you already follow (lookup) - longer names and typos would be eliminated and also would appreciate time savings

Should not be so difficult. I think every twitter client can do this. Even Hootsuite for iPhone does this. Sometimes it works on the web app, but I don't know why.

Auto fill is huge for mobile apps. Without it it is impossible to communicate unless u reply to a specific user tweet or know 100% the persons twitter handle. Way too time consuming. Tweetcaster has auto @ so seems like an easy update.

This is a big issue for me with Hootsuite. I love the way Tweetdeck on the desktop and the Echofon Iphone app handle this. I find the current method of having to click on the owl - go to my contacts and then scroll through everyone to find a person I want to add to my tweet.
