  Considering Hootsuite instead of Tweetdeck but after all the features Hootsuite has got, there is no pop up notifications? o.O

  So, it's been more than a year now, how is it going with this request ? Growl support (or just visual notifications) would be fantastic !
  And yes, you're not providing us with updates..

  This cannot be true. Are you sleeping at Hootsuite and just counting your money? This feature suggestion is from 2010! :-(

  I Agree that the notification pop-up is essential. And not having this available (via Growl i.e.) makes Hootsuite way less interesting. I changed to Hootsuite and practically everything suits me better then in Tweetdeck but I am considering going back to Tweetdeck just for the notifications.. We are almost one year further... what's the status?

  Yes, the lack of popup notifications in HootSuite is why I don't use it (and instead use TweetDeck). HootSuite tabs get lost amongst the many other app tabs and 'out of sight out of mind' means I can miss opportunities to interact (in a timely manner) with someone who @ mentions or DMs me/us. Growl support would be great, especially if the types of notifications are highly customisable, as they are in TweetDeck.

  Hi,
  Just started testing a Firefox addon that I've built to provide popup notification while using the HootSuite in the browser. User can simply add a white-list of Home users they are following. I'm no longer bound to constantly check and recheck tweet messages. Right now currently only for Windows.

  This is the only reason I'm still using Tweetdeck instead of HootSuite. I'll go Pro once this has been implemented.

  A badge with the number of new items on the Chrome tab would be great. A popup would be good too, but perhaps harder to implement. Any notification would be good.

  This is the only reason I leave TweetDeck open in the browser. I get it's notifications, then jump to HS to respond. This should be a top priority.
