In case you missed it … in last Thursday’s release, HootSuite added a media preview tool which allows you to attach photos and videos via links to your Facebook Wall posts.

A bit more details about the differences between what content posts to Walls and what posts to Status at: http://ow.ly/25vHZ

Thanks for your input — we’re very pleased to bring these features to you.

I agree with Rick and Brent below. I'm a Hootsuite Android user and photo posts to Facebook do not show photo previews. The ability to do this on the mobile platform would be great!

Still don't see photo previews when posting to Facebook from Hootsuite for iPhone. Love the service overall, but this missong feature is incredibly frustrating!

Seems like this should be a must have feature for the mobile apps. When I upload pictures using Hootsuite on my phone, I don't want them to appear as links. I'd like the picture to appear on Facebook.

I do not see this option at all in the iPhone app. It's available on the web version to 'hide URL when posting to FaceBook' but I don't see this available in the iphone app? Is this feature coming soon? Until then I'm unable to use hootsuite since I need those preview images on FB and just the link on twitter. (I could use Instagram for the iphone but I'd prefer to stick to one service and I like the Hootsuite web interface.)

I'm new to HootSuite, but also had the same problem with uploading a photo from my iPhone and attaching to a status update. It only appeared as a link vs an image. Is there a way to change this?

Does this feature work for bulk scheduling? I want to schedule in bulk, but I don't know how to integrate the image/video into csv. suggestions?

This doesnt work very well. If I post an image with a posting on a Facebook page it works first time. Then when I do it again it seems to add the image to the same photo album and doesnt post it as a status update on the facebook page.

greetings... I like this new showing the photo feature.. it would be great if when it checked the RSS feed from my blog, it attached a picture with that update as well.... please put in future versions!? Thanks. (I know I could manually post each of my blog updates... but the point of hootsuite here is to save time with automation right?) cheers.

I am trying to upload a picture to Facebook Via Hootsuite, but it is just appearing as a link. Is there a way to integrate it into my photos and tag people?

I am new to Hootsuite. I am setting up the RSS feed for a connection from my blog (Wordpress) to my FBPage. My question--how do I get the RSS feed to use my image from the Post? Is there anything I must do for this to happen?

hi dave - can you please repost the link. the link you posted brings me to a post from last year. if we are now able to do this, it will allow me to use hootsuite for all my clients, which would be fantastic.

I use SmugMug to host images, and I use Hoot Suite to show galleries on my Fan Page, Profiles, etc. The problem I have is the thumbnail preview. I can do them if I use Hoot the regular way, but what about bulk messages? How do we choose what thumbnail to display? Are we even ABLE to do a thumb display in bulk? I don't see that even being possible using a .CSV file. If I'm wrong, point me to it. If it's not possible, can you guys create another batch method than this?

Is that the right link to explain how to use the new media preview tool? What release has the new feature, and how do you check which Hootsuite
        release you are running?
