Give users the choice of old style retweets or new style retweets
The new style Retweets are great because they integrate with Twitter perfectly and move in the direction that Twitter is going, however it gives no way to comment, which is essential. Please give us the option.

If we could now schedule an API retweet, that would eliminate half of my edit tweets I'm doing. :-)

Good thing the option for retweet, but I'd like to have every retweet buttons in command line. Example: if I select old retweet style, in other action I found "Retweet (new)".

Hi Dave @Hootsuite. How do we go back to old school RT's. I remember doing this early on, but under settings, and preferences, I can't seem to see that option come up again. Please advise exact steps for how to go change settings. Thanks! Shelley

This really needs to be an on-the-fly choice, similar to the way it's implemented on the iPhone client.
I really don't get it when software devs provide quite different ways of interacting with their clients on different platforms - if it's a good idea on one, it's almost always a good idea (though maybe with slightly different implementation) on others...

I would like this feature as well, the web client I had been using has icons to retweet now, schedule tweat, edit & retweet/schedule - quick and easy (and has checkboxes under tweet text for me to select networks, rather than boxes to right which UI wise is less convenient)

Suggested UI:
Leave the retweet icon in the message options popup as it is and make that the new retweet style. Add a confirmation request (similar to twitter.com 's request).Add an item in the dropdown list (where Reply to all, Favorite are): Retweet with comments. (which uses old style RT).

This is especially needed because when I change the default setting in Settings, it doesn't seem to take, and the previous setting sticks. It would be much better to be able to choose with each RT, on the fly.
