Relationship Status
Hootsuite for web should show the relationship between my account(s) and the person whose profile I'm viewing in much the same way Hootsuite Lite for Android does
Relationship status would be a great feature to add.

I simply don't understand why this functionality doesn't exist iin HootSuite web. It's critical, at least for me, to know which of our Twitter accounts another user is following and, conversely, which of our Twitter accounts are following that other user. Why can't this very basic functionality be implemented?

It is a major flaw that the iPhone client is more robust with information than the web/desktop version. It's always pushing me away from hootsuite looking for a better solution. You have to be able to see right away if someone is following you or not. #fail

This is a biggie for me as well. The only reason I go to Twitter on the web is for this information and to see who other people are following.

howtotextagirl ...actually, for me, and for how I use hootsuite, it would be a really big help. But regardless, what are the other features you refer to?

this doesnt seem overly necessary compared to other features to focus on.

Hootsuite's Android app used to clearly indicate the relationship between you and someone you follow (whether they follow you back). This is missing in the web and the iPhone version :-(

I've noticed that Hootsuite's mobile apps on the iPhone and Android show this information nicely. I've always missed it in the real dashboard though!

Logistics?? The Hootsuite android app already has this functionality, makes no sense to me why the web based app can't do it?

On TweetDeck a little check mark appears when you click on someone showing that you are already following them. This would be a nice addition on HootSuite.

This is very important. Why is this not visible on the Bio pop-up? I thought it was a part of Hootsuite before but maybe I am thinking of the mobile version on my Android.

When searched, we need the relationship with a certain twitter user.
Present when deploying the profile get much info from the user, there just might be the existing relationship -

This info should be shown on "following" list as well and the "following" list should have the option to be ordered/filtered by this property for finding easily followed users who are blocking the followers expansion.

Management of my Twitter accounts can be done seamlessly within HootSuite with exception to this issue, this is one of the few reasons I log into Twitter itself these days.

Problem
It seems to me hootsuite can't currently, automatically 'check' to see if you are following someone or not, before you click the 'follow' or 'unfollow' button. I could be wrong, but I don't know where to go to find this kind of information.Solution
Hootsuite acquires a list of your followers and non-followers every X amount of time and stores the data attached to my profile or specific twitter username. Depending on stress to the network, it could be every 30 seconds, minute, hour, day, whatever. Worst case scenario, can’t we just parse http://twitter.com/#!/twitterusername/followers to acquire our list?
Then, the search function, when bringing in new tweets, cross references your followers/ing list, and it could tell you then, if you are following them or not.
*My needed feature needs one extra step though. Allow me to filter my search results by people that I currently don't follow, or who currently don't follow me.Other Thoughts
I get this may be difficult to scale up to those out there with millions of followers, but may work for those of us with < 5k follow (or so), can’t we just do a trial run with some users to test feasibility? -

I don't see anywhere whether a user is following me or not - it would be useful to know if I'm already following someone and if they're already following me.

Missing this information makes Twitter cumbersome to use. They don't show this on Twitter.com either. But most iPhone Twitter apps I've tried out can do that with no problem. So what's the difference?
