Hootsuite for web should show the relationship between my account(s) and the person whose profile I'm viewing in much the same way Hootsuite Lite for Android does
One of the powers of twitter is to be able to see 'immediately' whether or not you are following someone without going into contacts. Very awkward.
When I have a tweeter profile open I see the two buttons follow and unfollow no indication of whether I am already following them. Can we have an indicator green dot following red dot not?
Know if someone is already following you
When I click the twitter account. it is nice if is says "this person is following you" or "you are not following this account" or "you both following each other" in a very short text or icon.
When you click on a username on Twitter, it shows their profile summary and a little box that says "follows you" if they follow you. Hootsuite shows the profile summary, but doesn't say if a user follows you. I use Hootsuite at work and this would make my workflow so much simpler.
I think it is easiest to describe with an example.
If I was in charge of accounts @A and @B and I wanted both accounts @A and @B to follow account @Z, in account @Z's profile, when selected to follow account @Z, I could select both @A and @B.
When I need to follow someone I need to do from each of my profiles at a time. Would be great if there could be the possibility of selecting all of them
When you get a tweet from someone you do not recognise, you click on their handle a popup window shows you all their details. The window is fantastic, However the "Follow" button is indistinguishable from the "Unfollow" button. There should be just one button Follow/Unfollow not both and if both must exist, one of them should be in inactive depending on whether I am already following the tweep or not. Basically the Follow<->Unfollow should toggle, you should not have both active at the same time.
On the contact list of PEOPLE I AM FOLLOWING it would be lovely so see which of these people are following me.
I would like to filter people I follow on twitter to see which ones are also following me
Perhaps show only one button at bottom of profile window, Fololw *or* Unfollow, based on that person's current status.
When I check a person's bio, I can't see if I'm already following them, because both the Follow and Unfollow button show up.
This actually makes no sense. I mean...if I'm already following someone, then why is there a Follow button in that bio? Basically, this reasoning works both ways around.
Clicking on Owl - Contacts will show me the people who have followed me, but does not allow me to filter based on whether I'm following them back. This would be a useful addition.
Add ability to verify in a specific profile if is our follower or if we following or if is mutual like a TweetDeck
I would love it if you could add some kind of mark/border to the icons of those that I follow or follow me. This way I could id those that I don't follow or that only follow me
right now I click and it shows all accounts, then i have to hope i am unfollowing from right account. please make this easier and more user friendly
I would LOVE the ability to:
- Click on a username and follow, unfollow, or block with MULTIPLE accounts.
Without having to click on the same user over and over.
See Hootsuite for iPhone feature "Friendship Status" ! ! ! <-- I LOVE That!!!
The follow/unfollow button should show the profile's status. Lit when followed or lit when unfollowed. Now the follow button is always lit - if that is the way it is, why have it?
like in other twitter apps (hootsuiteiphone is the best!).
it would be nice to be able to see the following status when you click on a person's profile. i talk to a lot of people & i'm not always sure of what our follow status is. i'd rather not have to go to the contact page; just let me know right there on the profile if we're both following each other or who's following whom.
Right now it will give you the option at the bottom to follow or unfollow (both).
If you are already following someone and click on follow it says you can't follow them or already are.
It would be great if I am already following them to only have the option to unfollow. And if I'm not following them, only have the option to follow.
You are now able to see your Twitter Relationships through the user bio pop up in the HootSuite dashboard.
Click on a Twitter handle in any stream to open their user bio and down at the bottom you will see Relationships. It tells you if they are following your handle(s) and gives you the option to Follow or Unfollow directly.
Thank you all for your patience!

It's not working... or rather - it only shows the relationship status for just a few of my twitter accounts. Clicking on the "View all relationships" only shows 3 of my twitter accounts - we have LOTS more!.. and unfortunately the few that I'd like to check more often than others don't appear :(
Come on Hootsuite team. This is a really big issue. Don't let the vote count fool you. I actually started using official Twitter (app & website) because of two reasons: 1. Twitter handles Favs better (HS only displays my Fav stream on the dashboard - I want my tweets that are Fav'd too) 2. Relationship status (Twitter lets you see if someone is following back quickly). Your app displays this information nicely. Why doesn't HS on the web do it? You divide contacts into two tabs - People Following Me & People I Follow. That is not enough. This is all about making relationship building easier. Hootsuite is supposed to be the top dog for this. Show us that you understand. I thought at one point that you fixed item 2. Now that I'm back to using HS due to Twitter's blue line fiasco, I see that item 2 is still an issue. Please fix this. PLEASE.

I have another great idea. http://feedback.hootsuite.com/forums/40182-hootsuite-com-web-dashboard/suggestions/4373073-request-feature-uploading-images-by-url-
Vote if you agree!
Any movement on this?

This to me is the single greatest feature missing from Hootsuite. +one million up votes. Why can't I find out if someone is following me by looking at their profile in Hootsuite? I have to go to twitter.com to see that info? Even better, show it at the tweet level. But at the profile popup level, its a MUST HAVE.
You have that info, display it. Please!
I never understood why my Android App had greater functionality then my browser Hootsuite. This is incredibly important to know and extremely helpful.
Also, one NEW function you've started to provide is actually more of a nuisance. Anytime I click on a twitter link in my browser or email - if I'm logged into Hootsuite it opens a HS profile window for them vs. taking me to the user's direct twitter page. While in concept, this is great, but in reality not so much because you don't offer nearly as much information or functionality as their actual Twitter profile page. Until you do that please give the option to turn this off.

The Green follow button somewhat misleads to make a person think this feature is already there.
yes this would be great feature. 2 of 2 features i requested to move our users away from MetroTwit.

Absolutely! the android app also has the ability to create streams of saved twitter searches. I find myself at the computer using hootsuite on my phone

Yes, when I'm viewing "People I follow" there seems to be no way of knowing if they also follow me. Unless I'm missing it?
Trialing your product and very impressed except for when I found this feature is missing from the web dashboard. Very big headache as a result...

This was such an essential part of CoTweet and from a company point of view we need this function to ensure effective following.

I simply don't understand why this functionality doesn't exist iin HootSuite web. It's critical, at least for me, to know which of our Twitter accounts another user is following and, conversely, which of our Twitter accounts are following that other user. Why can't this very basic functionality be implemented?

It is a major flaw that the iPhone client is more robust with information than the web/desktop version. It's always pushing me away from hootsuite looking for a better solution. You have to be able to see right away if someone is following you or not. #fail

This is a biggie for me as well. The only reason I go to Twitter on the web is for this information and to see who other people are following.
This feature would be very useful, please consider
howtotextagirl ...actually, for me, and for how I use hootsuite, it would be a really big help. But regardless, what are the other features you refer to?
