offer draft tweets as a column
I would like a column called "draft tweets" so that I can view all the draft tweets associated with a particular account rather than having to go to the message composition window and use the dropdown. This is especially helpful when using an If This Then That recipe to create draft messages. I would like to be able to rocket through all those drafts, scheduling them from within a drafts column. Thanks!
15 votesReally cool idea! We’ll look at adding this in the future!

Add an option to AutoSchedule Rss Feeds
It would be great to have the option to select "Auto Schedule" for the RSS feed publishing. This will help prevent our accounts to post too many things at once. The only options are the frequency of which HootSuite will check the RSS feeds.
Thank you!15 votesThis is a great idea! We’ll look into implementing this in the future. Thank you!

Rows in columns to improve efficiency
Allowing rows to columns is given the option of placing two or three similar columns to save space (eg messages sent and received, or put more than one search). And avoiding the small screen scroll bar.
15 votesWe’d have to see what this would look like, but we’re always considering ways to improve efficiency with HootSuite.

Choosing week's first day
Most countries start their week on Monday, while others do it on Sunday. Being able to choose whether the week starts on Sunday or on Monday would make it easier for people scheduling their tasks on the calendar.

Allow filter options for facebook fan pages and groups
I noticed that when you try to filter a stream, you can only filter friends. But being able to filter facebook fan pages and groups as well would be so convenient and save me the trouble of having to log into facebook. I'd like to be able to sort them out (news vs. music, for example).
15 votesWe hope to extend Facebook functionality with a future release.

Hootlet should compose tweet from text selection on page
I would like the option to select text on a webpage, which the hootlet would then grab and use as the text in the tweet instead of using the page title. The URL should then be added at the end. This is done by bit.ly's bookmarklet.
15 votesThis is currently possible with Hootlet for Chrome. We’re considering adding this feature for Firefox users as well.

Column showing backtweets.com results of a domain
It would help a lot if we can arrange a column for backtweets.com result for a domain, so we can make a fast answer to someone ;)

Create a native Mac OS X application (in Cocoa).
I'd prefer to use a native Mac OS X client for HootSuite. Ad-supported, with an ad-free paid version. I'd pay.
15 votesNative apps are a great idea.

Auto-schedule more than 5 social networks.
Allow AutoSchedule to work with more than 5 social networks at one time.
15 votesThis would be a tremendous feature to add, and one many of our users would find useful.

show comments in assignment list
When a FB-posting is assigned, comments to that posting are not shown in assignment list.
as a consequence a team member must go back from the assigments list to the news-streem and has to search for the posting in order to be aware of comments.
very poor workflow management.
as a pro user i would have expected that to be solved.
15 votesThis is a great idea that would improve Facebook functionality.

autoschedule retweets
Simple enough, allow standard, native Retweets to be autoscheduled instead of having to 'edit' and break the RT model.

Interesting idea! Currently, there is no scheduling available for native retweets. Would you see all types of scheduling being added, or just Autoscheduling?

group drafts in the publisher section.
With the current functionality, once a draft has been edited (and/or scheduled), the previously saved version remains in the drafts. This makes it too easy for duplicate efforts among team members (if one of us doesn't know someone else already edited or worked on a draft). The other issue is that I cannot see/edit posts for an upcoming time period that have to be finalized and scheduled in one place.
I would like to be able to put tentative dates on drafts and have them grouped in the publisher section, in chronological order, to be edited and finalized. There should…
14 votesWe’ll review ways to integrate drafts within Publisher.

Make each column a different color
I like the way that Seesmic Desktop has different color columns for replies and different colors for direct messages. It helps assimilate information much faster! I think that color coding the columns will help a lot!
14 votesWe’re always considering ways to enhance HootSuite’s UI.

include a "flag" or "follow up" feature, like email programs
Often someone will send me an @reply or a DM, and I make a mental note to follow up with them later. It would be nice to "flag" a message to be followed-up with, to stay organized. There's nothing worse than having to scroll through dozens of DMs or @replies trying to find the one you're looking for!

Balloons and streamers should fall from the roof when you sign up for a Pro account.
When a customer signs up for a Pro account, there should be more fanfare. Balloons and streamers falling from the roof would be great way to do this.
Other alternatives could be Owly appearing at your front door to give you a hug or Dave Olson giving you an awesome high five through the screen, setting off an amazing sunny sequence with cars and explosions.

Add support for inline URL shortening.
I would like URLs to be automatically shortened as I type, rather than have to add them to the URL shortening box.
I keep a database of pretty-written tweets which I pre-schedule randomly. Some of these contain more than one URL so it would be useful if I could just paste them and have the URLs shortened automatically inline.
14 votesGreat idea. We’ll consider this for possible future updates.

Seeing how we have an extension for Firefox and Chrome, we see how a Safari extension could be useful too.
Until then, we recommend using the Hootlet in Safari’s bookmark bar:

Improve the RSS feed
Like the functionality from twitterfeed, which allows the user to select some parts of the feed post to be tweeted.
13 votesWe hope to add further improvements to RSS functionality in the future.

Reduce feed update time to less than 1 hour... Please!
I would even settle with 30 mins as offered free from twitterfeed. Will wait for a few weeks to see if this changes.
thanks
13 votesWe hope to add additional RSS functionality.

create a message using your email
Allow the ability to create a Hootsuite message using an email account. For instance, I have a yahoo email account, and I compose a message I would like to have posted on Hootsuite. The email address to send the email to would be something like myaccount@hootsuite. Hootsuite gets the email (message to my account), which is then converted into a Hootsuite formatted message, and gets posted when scheduled.
13 votesWe’ll look at implementing this feature in the future. Thank you for your feedback!
