Sometimes I post images which I like the user to be able to view on the Facebook page without clicking the owl.ly link. It would be great if these images could be uploaded to the Facebook page (with a chosen image folder).40 votes
We’ll consider this functionality for future releases. Thank you for your feedback!
Just like getting a notification when your user name is in a tweet, we could set one for a particular hashtag.40 votes
We’re currently reviewing possible ways to set up notifications and alerts.
Like Gtalk, Msn, OCS, or other instant messenger, when you press the ESCape key, it closes the current window. For the browser hootsuite I would like to have a similiar aproach. Sometimes im writting a tweet, suddenly I give up that idea and dont want to submit it. I'd like to, when i press the ESCape key, have the box that i was typing getting cleared and closed.39 votes
This is a great feature suggestion that would improve HootSuite’s usability.
who in their right mind omits/removes this feature? I can't find it anywhere no matter the how-to says I can find it in preferences.39 votes
This is a good idea, especially for users who may not want to change their browser preferences. Note that you can increase font size from your browser preferences through zooming in. Hope this helps!
Add TweetMarker to sync Timeline between different Devices and Twitterclients. See www.tweetmarker.net38 votes
We’ll look into what TweetMaker does, and how it can extend HootSuite functionality.
Twitter now supports the search operator "near:", followed by the name of a place, e.g. near:"Brisbane, Australia". There are other sites now offering this functionality under a "local search" banner (see monitter) and that's a super useful targeting tool for small business.
Please add support for this operator and allow geo search.
Currently, you can do geocode specific searches. For example: “geocode:49.2846165,-123.0954835,25km”
We do not yet offer functionality for the “near:” operator. However, this is on our road map.
Having a minimum width of 300 px makes it impossible to use as a widget on blogs. Allow us to customize the width so it can be used in a variety of ways.38 votes
We continue to consider more ways to make embeddable streams more user-friendly.
In bit.ly it shows the total number of Facebook "likes" and "comments" for a shortened link. It would be really helpful to have that same functionality in stats for Hootsuite.38 votes
We continue to consider ways to extend Facebook functionality within HootSuite.
When posting to Wordpress there is no way to set the title of the post. I suggest using the first line for the title and the rest for the body.38 votes
We hope to add additional WordPress functionality in the future.
Please add new myspace37 votes
We’ll be looking into the possibility of adding new MySpace in the future. Thanks for the request!
With the Twitter API change on or about Apr 1 2013, twitter native retweets now can show up in lists. I'd like to turn them off and as per the dev documentation of a lists query for twitter, you can turn on or off native retweets with a simple flag (ow.ly/jGMvt). I'd tie this flag to a radio button for display native retweets yes/no when people add columns displaying a list.36 votes
Thanks for your feedback with this recent change. We’ll look at the possibility of adding this feature into user options in the future.
Would love to have a drupal module that allowed us to auto-tweet new content with ow.ly shortened urls. we auto tweet new content now, but no drupal module that gives us both url shortening and tracking through hootsuite. might you tell us how to build such a module using ow.ly api? Thanks!35 votes
We’re interested in adding HootSuite functionality to more CMS platforms.
When FB friends post updates with games they are playing (like Farmville) I like to hid them. They don't show up on FB after I hide them, but they keep showing up in Hootsuite. Hidden people are removed from Hootsuite, but not hidden games35 votes
We hope to add further Facebook functionality in future releases.
HootSuite should have a "shrink" button that automatically replaces any URL's in a post with a short URL. I hate having to cut URL's out of the post, shrink them, and move them back to the proper place in the post (instead of at the end). Follow Tweetdeck's example and make HootSuite more usable for your customers.35 votes
We have this feature in our iPhone and Android apps. We’ll consider it for the web app as well.
We’re exploring further platforms to develop for.
automatically shorten URLs pasted into the Compose Message window if there is enabled option34 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! We’ll look at the feasibility of doing this in the future. An opt-in setting would be necessary.
create a "white label" version of Hootsuite so agencies can customize it with their logo and colors and resell it.34 votes
We’ll examine the possibilities for agencies to customize their dashboard.
Use the API of the simple to configure yourls open source project to shorten links with the use of the own domain. ie. pro7.de/galileolive34 votes
We may consider more URL shorteners in the upcoming future.
Instead of kicking the toggle back and forth between Auto-Schedule and not, I would like to see a way that RTs or replies are not auto-scheduled and it is recognized that, that information should be sent in real time.33 votes
This is an excellent feature suggestion, and we’ll continue to monitor how many users would like to implement this feature.
The new autoschedule option for hootlet is great... but What if I wanted to use it to schedule posts for a network for the next week...
There should be an option IMO to limit how close together posts could be posted on each network via auto schedule, (say 12 hours apart for example) then when im looking for "next weeks posts", I can autoschedule and they will fill up the week.33 votes
We’re always looking at further ways to make autoscheduling easier for our users.
