Syncing Desktop and Mobile App Team Member Notifications and Assignments
Show me when a team member has responded to tweets - I'm not seeing this feature on the iPhone app.
(Previously this request included "When I make changes to my desktop app, I would like those same changes to take place on my iPhone. " For more information on this feature, please see: http://feedback.hootsuite.com/forums/40825-hootsuite-for-iphone-and-ipad/suggestions/519151-synchronization-between-iphone-and-web-app)
I use both the web app and the mobile apps frequently. It's very nice when using the web app to see if/when someone has responded to a mention. However, when using the mobile app, it does not show that someone has replied in either the web or mobile app. So when logging back into the web app the next day, I have to check each comment individually to see if someone has responded instead of simply seeing a blue response box. Can something be implemented so the mobile and web app sync and both get the blue response box? Maybe I'm missing something... if so, let me know please!
If I add a "keyword" or hash tag on the pc, then great it's on my phones.. But I really want to add the above to my phone and it automatically updates the computer.. Not sure why this doesn't automatically happen?
The teams function on the web is great for allowing us to see who has responded to what on Twitter. HOWEVER, if one of our team responds to a tweet through the iPad or iPhone app it doesn't show on the desktop.
It would be great if the apps worked with the team functions especially when we are doing events around live tweeting.
If one of our team members replies to a post from a mobile device the blue "Gina Replied To This" notification does not show up. We NEED this as many of us use our mobile phones or tablets to work on the road and when that doesn't show, two people might be responding to the same post!
I use both the mobile app and web app. Sometimes when I respond to a tweet via mobile, it doesn't show that I have responded via the web app. This is important to reduce multiple responses to one tweet.
The team tracking in the web app is great, helping to make sure you don't leave an @ or DM unanswered, but it doesn't sync with the mobile apps. So, when I respond on my phone or tablet, no one knows I've already done it. Can the mobile tracking be aligned with the web app?
assigning posts to team members is currently only available in the desktop mode. Please make this also available in the mobile apps (ipad/iphone/android)
Many smm, can browse social media profile when on the go or on the couch:). Therefore, assigning followers queries to be replied by responsible experts is very useful.
This is for if you have the team function enabled. Then, if anyone within the group responded on any device (e.g. iPhone app), it would show like it does on the desktop. Today, it just shows responses on the desktop version IF you respond via desktop. It does not log responses that occur on another device.
Sync phone and web automatically
i modified all my lists in ipad and then it gets overode by web dashboard! :(
assign tweet from iphone app
It would be nice to assign tweets people on my team and see when others have replied.
We often lose track of responses when out team respond via iPhone or iPad as it doesn't show "Responded" notifications and also doesn't update the web version with a "Responded" notification when replying through the iOS app. At the moment team use is nigh on useless when using iPhone.
It would be great if you could see if a tweets been replied to on the iPad in the same way it does on the web version
I add new streams to my iPhone app and when I check my desktop they are not there. HootSuite should sync across these platforms.
I check my hootsuite steams in the morning on my iPhone. When I check my hootsuite streams later in the day on my PC, I have to read through the same tweets that I've already read, because hootsuite does not sync streams on both iPhone and PC.
iPhone app and Desktop Hootsuite should sync, especially Pending streams, so that any updates posted on one show up on the other and vice versa.
I use Hootsuite now on my Mac (via browser), on my iPhone, and on my iPad. Each has to be configured separately for the streams I follow, the accounts I use, etc. How cool would it be if I had the option to create the layout I want on one platform and then sync that layout to all the other devices. That's how OmniFocus works, and of course all my Mac apps like address book and calendar (all done via MobileMe). That would make a valuable add on for paid accounts, don't you think?
Implement the ability to "Assign to team member" and see "Assignments" on the iPhone mobile app
iPad iPhone sync with web version
I pay for this ability - make it global for all devices please
In the iPad app, I miss the info about which teammember replied to a tweet.
For accounts with multiple users who use various platforms, Hootsuite should track who responded with their iPhone on the Web Dashboard as well as on the iPhone app. Currently it only shows when someone responds via the Web Dashboard.
one of my favorite features is when hootsuite displays "[person] responded to this" for a tweet so we don't end up with multiple replies to a tweet. It would be great to have this feature on the iphone app as well.
Thanks for the suggestion! We can absolutely see how this would be useful for users on the go. We’ll look into the possibility of integrating these functions in the future.
This feature MUST be added. I think it's ridiculous that it's not. I keep finding more and more holes in the premium version as I continue to use it. Seriously considering canceling - Hootsuite is almost making it hard to collaborate on social accounts with the rest of my team.

Do you guys even read these comments? This request was made 3 years ago and collaboration still isn't included in the mobile app. That's the entire reason we're using HootSuite! People in Communications and PR live on their mobiles as they're always in the field, this is a necessity for your customers.

This is a major flaw in your product, that with everything being mobile and needing to respond to tweets and posts on the go without tracking who replied is just ridiculous. Why should I continue to pay for my pro service when this is how you support your products?
This really needs to happen. This would get me to pay for this service. It's a mobile world. With out it the mobile apps are point less who wants to look at 100 tweets on one device then go to another device & try to figure out where they where. It all needs to sync so no matter where you are or what device you have so can pick up from where you left off. This is just a no brainer in today's world. I really want to like & use this service but with out syncing this is a nonstarter
So I can only work as a team from a desktop? in today's mobile world? Gosh, you really need to make this happen ASAP
Please give this some serious consideration. Currently mobile is pretty useless as you run the risk of doubling up responses or even worse - not replying to a query because you missed it in real-time.
Apple or Andriod, either one is fine for me. I'd switch me phone if I could get this!

This is an important feature for me! I don't want to have to do everything twice! Thanks!

Please add this functionality - it's really important when we have multiple team members working from mobile devices on the same streams. It would also be nice to be able to assign tweets and leave notes from the mobile device.

The main reason my company uses Hootsuite is to allow different employees to respond to tweets. If the iPhone and iPad apps could show which tweets were responded to and by whom, like the normal web app, it would be a huge benefit for us.
It doesn't show on the iPhone app which tweets have been replied to AND it doesn't show on the dashboard which tweets were replied to on the app. This creates a lot of repeat replies which we don't see until it's too late. Highly unprofessional.

This is about synchronising the read/unread items across platforms.
As an example, I use Google Reader for all my RSS feeds. No matter what platform I use - iPhone, desktop at work, at home, the read items don't show up and I never waste time going over things I've already looked at.
With Hootsuite I often find myself struggling to keep up with an active Twitter and FB feed, made worse by jumping between phone and desktops, home and work, even different computers at home.
I find myself looking through 50 tweets only to realise I've already gone through them on a different platform. Syncing read posts would be a major time saver. Thanks for considering and for a great service
I'm unclear, is it possible to assign messages to a team member or to view them from your mobile app?
Chris McLellan commented
Does anyone know where they are in terms of supporting the assignment feature for iPad?
I don't change my layout very often, but when I do, I deinstall the iphone app and reinstall it. hootsuite then has the changes I made. It's a bother, but a way to make it work.
I'd like to be able to select which device is the source. I manage columns/follows mainly on iPad and would like it to be the source when I sync to my desktop version.

If you can make this happen - I can do 90% of all my work on the iPad - which would be awesome. I already pay for this for working on a computer - why not add it for the iPad?
