Synchronization between iPhone and web App
A synchronization of tabs and columns between the iPhone and web App. On iPhone created / edited Tabs and columns are updated to the web App and vice versa. And synchronization of drafts.
We’re happy to report that you are able to sync tabs, streams and social networks to your iOS devices from the set up on the web dashboard by simply logging out and logging back in to the app. To vote on the addition of drafts to the mobile app, please see here: http://feedback.hootsuite.com/forums/40825-hootsuite-for-iphone-and-ipad/suggestions/2438961-access-drafts-saved-on-hootsuite-web-interface-in-
Currently we have declined the feature request to sync changes in the mobile app back to the dashboard in order to maintain a strong connection, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
We will continue to monitor comments on this thread if you have further comments or suggestions. Thank you!

I am going to have to add every account back on the app. This is really annoying

I have tried this twice, shut down my phone and it still doesn't work

That would be ideal. I wish all the tabs and lists I create could go with me on any device. Your mobile apps are a huge competitive advantage, but making that change would make them even better.

Full functionality for the devices would be ideal. Not all "company" tweets and posts come from a desk job. :)

Hmmm. Great question. Ideally all of my access points to Hootsuite would sync up automagically. ;-)

Hi Nathaniel! This feature has been requested as well.
Please vote up this idea at http://feedback.hootsuite.com/forums/40825-hootsuite-for-iphone-and-ipad/suggestions/1140835-syncing-desktop-and-mobile-app-team-member-notific
Thank you!

This is a definite improvement but for me the biggest mobile issue is that there is no sync between mobile and desktop of notifications to show messages replied to or messages to which you've replied. While this is absent mobile is useless for us as our team can't keep track of what everyone is doing.

Sarah, the one way sync is already a big improvement. Can I request a little addition to this? Why only sync the tabs, streams and social networks when you login? Could you add a sync button to the app, or sync always when the app is accessed?

I really don't understand why people are moaning so much. Anyway, it would be great if you had some sort of way just to update the networks and tabs/columns you have on the web app to your phone. That's priority number 1 for me, I'll still use Hootsuite if you don't but would love it if you do :)

I agree - this has now become essential functionality. Either integrating with Tweet Marker or iCloud (on the Mac side at least) should make this relatively easy. Tweet Marker would probably give the broadest compatibility.

Spent 30 minutes adding all my streams in the dashboard. Now I can do the same on my iphone. Thinking of going back to TweetDeck!

It would be great if the apps that exist for the desktop version ( like YouTube and Tumblr ) were also integrated into the mobile apps.

What I would like to see synched between the Web dashboard, my iPhone and my iPad:
- Social Networks
- Tabs
- Streamsand if possible: the 'read/unread' status of messages.
Syncing preferrably via iCloud, with DropBox as an alternative.

I really want to see the sync and access of saved drafts on the app.

Until full sync comes to sync from the hootsuite.com to the ipad or iphone you can logout and then log back in.

Just spent 30 mins setting up tabs and streams via browser ... now I have to do it again on my iPad and iPhone -- using the tiny keyboard? Really? Grrr... such a great app, such a big gap!
