Synchronization between iPhone and web App
A synchronization of tabs and columns between the iPhone and web App. On iPhone created / edited Tabs and columns are updated to the web App and vice versa. And synchronization of drafts.
syncing the changes/additions/removal of streams/tabs on all HootSuite clients (not the content of the streams)
e.g. when we add a stream on HootSuite Android, it doesn't show up on HootSuite iPad nor the dashboard.
e.g. when we add a stream or tab on the dashboard, we need to logout+login on the mobile devices in order to see the new streams on these devices.
When my profile photos change in my social media accounts, I'd like to see my account thumbnail images update in Hootsuite automatically.
Now I have a restriction in the iPhone -not in web- about to validate my twitter account "again" and have several (more than one) twitter accounts sychronized through hootsuite, but you ask something about iPhone app that sucks
I cannot access to any twitter through hootsuite anymore... waiting for the upgrade in the meanwhile via tweetdeck
It seems like I need to re enter all of my twitter accounts in the app even though I did that in the online tool. Is that true?
Sync more items. No compromises. I'm tired of creating a custom search on say my iPhone only to create the same thing again on my desktop. Tablet and android phone. Please consider it!
New accounts not being displayed. Now I have to go get my computer.
It would be great if instead of recreating a dashbord on the ipad version, we could just synchronize with the online version one.
The iphone app should update the columns in the same way i did it on my browser
On the last update, I lost all of my tabs and streams - just plain gone. Is there any way to retrieve them or are they just plain gone?
Synching with the Web desktop would be a potential fix for this, too.
Pretty obvious really, the web app has it - it'd be nice if the iOS apps had it as well.
Saved bank of configurations and ability to import them so I don't have to recreate it all.
How about sync the tweets between both gadgets? I don't wanna read again something that i already saw.
I hope you like the idea.
I don't want to see as "unread" in web version tweets already seen on my iPhone! :)
Currently if you reply to a tweet in the web dashboard it will add a tag like "xxx replied to this" which other team members can see to avoid duplicate reply. If you reply via the iPhone App this is not present (either in the App or the Web Dashboard), and of course also vice-versa (replies from web dashboard indicated in iPhone App).
It would be very useful to access the same social networks on the Hootsuite iPhone app as the Hootsuite website. Currently we can only access Facebook and Twitter accounts on the iPhone app. I would hazard a guess and say that many people other than myself access want to have as much access to social networks from their iPhone as possible so we don't have to sign onto a pc. Sure I could launch my LinkedIN and other social network apps separately. But this defeats the purpose of integration tools like Hootsuite. While all features may no be available from an mobile app, the standard and re-occuring tasks should be accessible. This is one of two reasons I haven't switched over to Hootsuite completely. I'm still using Tweetdeck as well.
We’re happy to report that you are able to sync tabs, streams and social networks to your iOS devices from the set up on the web dashboard by simply logging out and logging back in to the app. To vote on the addition of drafts to the mobile app, please see here: http://feedback.hootsuite.com/forums/40825-hootsuite-for-iphone-and-ipad/suggestions/2438961-access-drafts-saved-on-hootsuite-web-interface-in-
Currently we have declined the feature request to sync changes in the mobile app back to the dashboard in order to maintain a strong connection, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
We will continue to monitor comments on this thread if you have further comments or suggestions. Thank you!
I am going to have to add every account back on the app. This is really annoying
I have tried this twice, shut down my phone and it still doesn't work

That would be ideal. I wish all the tabs and lists I create could go with me on any device. Your mobile apps are a huge competitive advantage, but making that change would make them even better.

Full functionality for the devices would be ideal. Not all "company" tweets and posts come from a desk job. :)

Hmmm. Great question. Ideally all of my access points to Hootsuite would sync up automagically. ;-)

Hi Nathaniel! This feature has been requested as well.

This is a definite improvement but for me the biggest mobile issue is that there is no sync between mobile and desktop of notifications to show messages replied to or messages to which you've replied. While this is absent mobile is useless for us as our team can't keep track of what everyone is doing.

Sarah, the one way sync is already a big improvement. Can I request a little addition to this? Why only sync the tabs, streams and social networks when you login? Could you add a sync button to the app, or sync always when the app is accessed?
Necessary! Have no Time to do The Same structuring Works on My iPad again and then on My iPhone again for 50 Accounts an more!
i think the same. i spent a lot of time configuring dashboard, ipad and iphone

I really don't understand why people are moaning so much. Anyway, it would be great if you had some sort of way just to update the networks and tabs/columns you have on the web app to your phone. That's priority number 1 for me, I'll still use Hootsuite if you don't but would love it if you do :)

I agree - this has now become essential functionality. Either integrating with Tweet Marker or iCloud (on the Mac side at least) should make this relatively easy. Tweet Marker would probably give the broadest compatibility.
Spent 30 minutes adding all my streams in the dashboard. Now I can do the same on my iphone. Thinking of going back to TweetDeck!

It would be great if the apps that exist for the desktop version ( like YouTube and Tumblr ) were also integrated into the mobile apps.
I agree it's really bugging me

What I would like to see synched between the Web dashboard, my iPhone and my iPad:
- Social Networks
and if possible: the 'read/unread' status of messages.
Syncing preferrably via iCloud, with DropBox as an alternative.

I really want to see the sync and access of saved drafts on the app.
Until full sync comes to sync from the hootsuite.com to the ipad or iphone you can logout and then log back in.

can you do weird things on same social
Just spent 30 mins setting up tabs and streams via browser ... now I have to do it again on my iPad and iPhone -- using the tiny keyboard? Really? Grrr... such a great app, such a big gap!
