what would be REALLY nice is a sort of equalizer feature. anybody remember when facebook had this? you could adjust how much a certain person came across your newsfeed, 'cuz you know, you still like the person, but they post a little too often.

While we do see the utility of such a feature, this does violate Twitter’s TOS. This is due to this feature being abused by spammers in the past who attempted to gain more followers by mass following and unfollowing.
We must therefore decline this request.

um, hootsuite doesn't have a desktop client. HOWEVER, i would LOVE some sort of notification bubble/tab update like facebook has. a pop-up would be even better, but i'm not sure how that would work with the web-based app.

We have now created a feature that informs our users of new tweets while maintaining the column scroll position. This is now available in auto-refresh.

YES! i follow other people's lists, but there are sometimes users that i just can't bear to see on my TL anymore, so i had to remove those lists from my stream. a mute feature would be HEAVEN. and/or a *real* filter that allows us to *ex*clude terms as well as or instead of *in*clude them.
