Good idea that would offer better customizability. However, we are exploring other interface refinements too.

This feature request initially encompassed two different requests. What we are doing here is stating what is not possible at this time under this request, and creating a new feedback item which potentially could be possible in the future in regards to custom via for Facebook.
What’s is being declined here are two things that are against the terms of service of the networks under discussion.
1. ‘Tweet-branding’ on Twitter – Twitter’s Terms of Service states in section II.3.C: "You[Developers] should not solicit another developer’s consumer keys or consumer secrets especially if they will be stored or used for actions outside of that developer’s control. Keys and secrets that are compromised will be reset by Twitter. For example, online services that ask for these values in order to provide a “tweet-branding” service are not allowed." For this reason and after discussions with Twitter.com HootSuite will not be supporting a branded… more

We recently added bulk uploads. Add up to 50 scheduled tweets in a csv and upload. Hope you all enjoy.

In my opinion, this really shouldn't be closed as "completed." What the original requester was asking for (an improved interface for the scheduler) had very little to do with anything that is solved by bulk uploads from a CSV file. We're just talking about wanting to be able to schedule a handful of things in a row where it would sure be great if it didn't reset EVERYTHING back to the defaults. I.e. fill in the LAST info we used, so we can just adjust the time a bit if we are doing a few scheduled posts in a row.
Also, change the interface to allow 1-minute increments instead of 5-minute ones.
None of that was really "completed", IMO.

I support this -- even if just for the feature to allow things to be scheduled to a specific MINUTE instead of in 5-minute increments.
5 minutes can be forever for some Twitter feeds -- if I'm telling someone about something coming up in the very near future, telling them about it 5 minutes before might be too far out still. Need 1-minute increments.

I agree with this. I've only just started using scheduled tweets and/or FB Page posts within the last couple of days and have already had a situation where I needed per-minute increments.
With Twitter, 5 minutes can be forever for some people's feeds. I need to be able to have down-to-the-minute scheduled tweets.

Push notifications are currently in PRIVATE BETA for the first 10,000 users who download the latest version of the iOS app (v2.4.0). Download it quick to get on the list. We’ll be opening to more users as soon as we can.

I'm all for this -- and, heck, even if it was just ONE-WAY, I'd be fine with it. (Meaning that you set up the web page and then can just grab all of those settings for the iPhone app.)

At this point the Facebook API doesn’t allow us to do this. We’ll continue to research it, and implement down the road if possible.

Happy to announce that you can now choose between old-skool “classic” RTs and Twitter web native style ReTweets.
Thanks for your ideas and participation!

I don't need to do a bulk upload of dozens of events. I just want to be able to easily schedule a few in a row that are timed appropriately -- without having to re-pick the date and time for each one of them. Improving the interface of the scheduler to not reset would much better solve issues like this than bulk uploads from a CSV file.
On a side note, changing the interface to allow 1-minute increments instead of just 5-minute ones would also be great when you're improving the scheduler's interface. 5 minutes can be forever in the real world -- having it down to the minute would be great!

There is a secondary problem with the "via HootSuite" thing also. It looks like, sometimes, Facebook combined posts from the same source together -- and you get ONE of them and then "3 more posts via HootSuite not shown". Even though they are from completely different people. In other words, as more and more people use HootSuite, more and more posts will be hidden from people's feeds if Facebook continues to group "similar" posts.
When they do that for some game like MafiaWars or whatever, it makes sense -- there might be a bunch of MafiaWars posts from different people and you might not want to see them all since they are still related to MafiaWars. But when they do it for a group of posts from HootSuite, it is a problem since they are often completely unrelated posts from completely unrelated people.
So, if there is a way around that, and this would solve it -- then I'm all for it also! It isn't that I mind the HootSuite mention on my posts -- it is that I don't want Facebook to group my posts with someone else's and hide it from anyone!
