Because of concerns with spam, and potential violations of Twitter’s TOS, we must decline this feature request.

This would be great! We don't have the time to send out individual welcomes. Would love an auto function.

Pending Updates stream returns as it was. Your polite and thoughtful opinions play a large role in shaping our development road map. Keep the comments coming and we’ll keep working to make tools you can rely upon.

BTW, don't you have a forum someplace where we can all comment on the new function instead of using this?

Forgot to expand on what I was requesting. I would like to be able to add a social network to an already scheduled post. Instead I have to copy, paste, and it remains separate. Instead, let me edit an existing pending post and add another social network to the 'group'.
DutchUmbrella

Do hope they allow for both to be used at the same time. FYI, if you ever schedule the same post across social networks, you'll love publisher!

What I think some folks are missing is that the new publisher allows you to edit a scheduled post across multiple social networks. That is FANTASTIC! Don't remove it. It's needed. Unfortunately, not having the pending streams and having to look at the publisher instead makes scheduling difficult. I very often have to review my pending stream for the day to see where I should schedule a new post.
I understand there's probably technical reasons for removing the pending streams. I haven't looked at hootsuite in my app, but can't imagine that publisher will make that at all easier to use.
Thanks again for finding a way to allow us to edit a post that's scheduled across multiple social networks.
Please be aware that posting and editing have very different needs.

With HootSuite’s new acquisition of Geotoko, this may be something we offer in the future.

I'd like to schedule a tweet for later and include a map of where the tweeted event is happening. I think Schmap does this, but would like it as part of hootsuite.

There’s no way for HootSuite to know who exactly is clicking your URLs unless a social network’s API is able to tell us.
Addressing the concerns in this feature request, if one IP address has clicked on a URL three times within the hour, HootSuite regards this as one clickthrough.
In addition to this, HootSuite has a complex algorithm to determine if a clickthrough is a result of a human action. Hence, we filter bots and spiders.
For more information on how HootSuite’s stats work, please see this Help Desk article: http://help.hootsuite.com/entries/113917-how-do-hootsuite-s-stats-work

FYI. I cancelled by hootsuite pro until the reports have detailed information.

Absolutely! This would be very helpful.
I may send out the same information 3 times in one day. If someone clicks through at the end of the day, I'd like to know which of the tweets they did that on.
When are my followers more likely to click through, what messages are they more likely to click through on, and who's clicking through are all pieces of information we could use.

Just found this one. I had opened the basically the same request. We need to be able to leave the compose message function with one button or key and clear everything.

Unfortunately, Twitter’s API does not allow for this functionality. We suggest using “old style” retweets to do this: http://help.hootsuite.com/entries/201700-how-to-set-up-old-style-retweets-in-preferences

I think you allow this via the mobile version. If I set my retweet preference on my iphone to RETWEET, it will let me pick the social network just as it does when I have it set to RT.
Would love to see the same flexibility online. Appreciate that you prompt if we want to edit...no edit being the RETWEET option, but again, we can't pick what social network unless we do what I outlined before.

Found a way to do this. I know most users don't need to do this and will always retweet from the network account that the stream is for.
For those of you like us you have several accounts and might see something in one of the accounts that you want to retweet for another:
Instead of doing the retweet from the stream, do it from the account that tweeted. Click on the account name in the tweet, click on Timeline in their account, find the tweet and retweet from there. It will prompt you for an account to retweet from.

You can now schedule Old Style retweets!
DutchUmbrella
commented
·
@Kurt You can schedule a retweet now. Online select 'edit' when you click on the retweet icon and schedule as usual. Via the iPhone app (and maybe others) set your retweet style to RT: It will bring up an edit screen for the retweet. Select Menu and schedule the retweet. To change your retweet style: Settings, Preferences, Retweet Style, RT:
Hope this helps.

OK, you're halfway there. I can now select to API native retweet or edit and oldstyle retweet. Now if I could just schedule the API retweet without having to use the edit.

Had to give this another vote. Makes me crazy that I can't use the API/native retweet and schedule it. If I do want to schedule it, I have to change my preference, old style retweet, edit to fit because there's no tweet-longer function to just retweet later.
Again, the retweet native or old style needs to be reworked. For business, it's just not working.

I too would love to be able to schedule an API/native retweet just like an old-style retweet.
I'd also like to be able to select if I'm doing an old-style or native retweet when I retweet. And I'd like there to be a tweet-longer option available. But those are votes in other issues. :-)
Interesting idea David. Can't imagine what the coding would be like for that. Not sure if it would be easier or more difficult to keep track of. I have the tweets from my account that I retweet sent to my phone so I know when to go in and retweet the tweets I sent on it. That may help?

This is becoming such an issue for me, time wise, I'm hunting for another product to manage twitter and facebook. Would rather stay here...please fix soon.
BTW, are you keeping any stats on how often those of us who switch back and forth, how much they do it relative to the number of tweets they have in a day?

I spend way to much time switching back and forth. I could cut it in half if I knew what the setting was at the time I went to retweet and of course another half if you allowed us to toggle.
If you do allow us to switch back and forth easily, why not have two options available with the Reply Retweet Direct Message that are currently there...maybe...API Retweet and RT Retweet?
FYI to anyone who needs to keep track of their retweets, the API Retweet does not show up in the Retweets by me stream (it's a twitter issue). So we use old style RT all the time.
That presents a message length issue. Would love to see something like tweet-longer also available with old style RT, but that's another issue I voted for too. :-)
Ditto everyone's responses that Hootsuite's answer doesn't make sense given what other companies are doing.
Do us the respect of answering these requests honestly when you turn them down. Minimally, provide a more detailed response.
