After review, we must decline this feature request. As a Twitter Product Partner, HootSuite must take special care to not violate Twitter’s Terms of Service, specifically articles I-5-A, I-5-D, and II-4-B (https://dev.twitter.com/terms/api-terms)
Please note that while TweetDeck once had this feature, Twitter has since removed it. We must comply with Twitter’s wishes, and will therefore not implement this feature request.

1) there is alot of requesting for the seesmic web, this feature is needed bad, others twitter clients came up with there own service like tweetdeck or seesmic uses twitlonger, so i dont see why hootsuite would not.. i guess its time to switch ...
