We recognize there is a need for custom branding with Facebook profiles. Therefore, we will further review this feature request, as well as its feasible compatibility with Facebook’s Developer TOS.

Facebook’s Terms of Service state that applications cannot brand messages as being sent via Facebook. Please see: https://www.facebook.com/brandpermissions/logos.php
This is why messages show up as being sent "via HootSuite". It is a requirement to show attribution of the app you're using. In fact, almost every app on Facebook shows attribution. Doing otherwise risks getting Facebook's API access removed.

Hello KD,
Custom branding is NOT against Facebook's TOS, and is in fact what is being discussed with this feature request. This is why this feature request remains open, and has been initiated by HootSuite.
What is against their TOS is spoofing attribution. Please review the previous feedback topic article we've posted regarding this matter.
