Inability to register or change email containing generic top level domain

On the 11th Jan I attempted to sign up with Hootsuite using my business email address which is associated with one of the new ICANN-era generic top-level domains, to which I constantly received the error message "Please enter an email address".



I have since managed to sign up using my gmail email address, however this far from ideal.

Once signed up, I did attempt to change my email address to the correct one in Account & Settings and although I received an email from Hootsuite saying "The email address for your Hootsuite account was just changed", it did not reflect the changes and still remains to be my gmail account.

I contacted the Hootsuite Helpdesk and they advised me to raise the issue here.

With more and more businesses now using generic top level domains, this is something that needs to be rectified as soon as possible.
