Integration with customer contact centre
We are looking at pulling notifications out of Hootsuite and into our contact centre e-mail system. This would allow employees to respond to telephone, e-mail and social media enquires without having multiple screens open.
Our contact centre can take inbound e-mail so ideally an e-mail notification would come through from Hootsuite, that would say @joeblogs said "twitter message". The staff member would be able to reply to the e-mail and Hootsuite would post the reply to twitter without the staff member having to login to twitter or Hootsuite.
This functionality could also be achieved through an API.
I have asked Hootsuite and they have advised this is not possible yet but said to post it here to see if others were interested.
