Due to our agency running managing multiple social media accounts, we are in need of more tabs! The limit of 20 is too low for an agency - especially as we are growing accounts!
I would pay extra to have more than 20 tabs and more than 10 tabs within those tabs. For agency owners, the 20/10 standard is just not enough. I have to resort to using Sendible and Tweet Deck in addition to Hootsuite. I would pay extra to use just Hootsuite.
A pro account can have up to 50 social accounts, but only 20 tabs. That doesn't seem reasonable. I would love it if Hootsuite would up the tab count.
Please can you allow more tabs as I keep running out and having to tidy up. Plus I can't add any Apps because of this as don't have the space to add them & would like to. So not able to fully use Hootsuite to its capabilities, which seems a shame.
Every site has at least 4 social media channels (linkedin, fb, twitter, google+) and with 20 tabs it seems it's somewhat limited if you have bunch of sites. How about expanding to more than 20 tabs and being able to group tabs. So when you click on the site it will automatically select all social channels linked (grouped) with one site. So you don't have to scroll through all the icons
With multiple accounts for multiple clients with multiple products, we should not have limits to tabs or streams. With Twitter, Facebook, G+, and Linkedin, including multiple streams per platform, it is impossible to monitor them all under one tab because they are capped at 10 streams, so clients take up multiple tabs. Only, since we need more than 1 tab for each client, we need more than 20 tabs. How many others want these limits to change?
Can´t you allow more options for the tabs.
If I want to have more then 20 tabs can´t Hootsuite have more rows of tabs also that I have to hover over the more tab isn´t productive.
Since we are talking about tabs I would like to be able to delete more then one tab at a time
tried to add a stream, but it says 20 tabs maximum. i deleted one stream but seems i had 21 set up (a week ago), so now the stream is gone too and im stuck at 20. why? will this be at additional price?
To more than 20 so you can realistically manage more than 20 accounts at a time. We use a tab per customer and find it a little restrictive, is the only way round to sign up for another account for every 20 of our customers? Thanks, Adam
The current limit tabs is due to performance considerations for web browsers. However, as technology evolves, this may be something we reformat in the future.
Just ran into the 20 tab limit. I have two clients now that I cannot add onto Hootsuite. This tab limit needs to be increased for those of us who manage large number of clients.
I somehow have more than 20 tabs but can't add any more. Can anyone on Hootsuite give any clue when this might be reviewed? The tabs are also fiddly on the dropdown menu. It must be a prblem for anyone running multiple social media accounts. I'm at point of starting a second hootsuite account to handle it.
This has been going on for years... we need more tabs! This is ridic.

O ya this is a big issue. My agency is coming close to max as well. Is there a work around? Will this be addressed by Hootsuite? I see this request was made 4 years ago.
I am running a multiple social media accounts and we are in need of more tabs. What could we do to increase our number of tabs? Do we need to pay more? Thanks
Just found out about 20 tab limit - as an agency we need more!
HOOTSUITE sucks for business use. Please improve with more tabs!
You mention you can have "unlimited accounts" but only allow 20 tabs. That doesn't make sense... and please do not reply with "you can have a lot of streams". That is not a solution for my, and per this forum, looks like many people's issue.
One company per tab is what we require and desire...
I use Hootsuite for professional use, I manage the social media for companies. I have more companies than you allow tabs so, Hootsuite, you better revise your tab limits or people like me and others will be dropping you.
PS - I have a guy who can develop a better program with more tab capability if you want to meet him. Not kidding. He can make it work for you.
If tabs are the issue why not remove tabs? Make it a dropdown list? Or just a list? I only want to work with one set of streams at a time. I don't need open tabs, just access to them. Could work like boards in Trello. A Hootsuite stream would work the same as a trello card on a treelo board. The board would be the social account. Then more accounts would be possible I think? Just a thought.

I'm in the same boat as I manage more than 60 social media accounts. I hit the same wall as I like to have one tab for each business I manage, and then have all of their SM profiles in that one tab. One way to work around it is to setup tabs for "Facebook Wall Posts", "Facebook Scheduled Messages, etc.", where you put all of the streams of that one type in the same tab. Not ideal, but a way to work around it and stay in HootSuite.
Please do! It would be very helpful. Any updates?

found out a solution. just click on "add stream" button, not the "+" button to add tab, thus it ignores the count and now i have happy 30 tabs :)

oh and i just deleted a couple and now have 20 tabs and it still says 20 tabs maximum, even after page refresh..
Hey Melanie, technology hasn't evolved to the point where web browsers can support tabs without encountering performance issues. If we did, users would encounter a lot of slowness that would render HootSuite unusable.

Just wondering how we are doing with the whole "tab thing." I LOVE using HootSuite - can't image business without it - but I'm going to have to look for something else b/c of the tab limitations! PLEASE CONSIDER adding more tabs!
I see this is an old thread... any updates on adding more than 20 tabs??
Hootsuite is great for monitoring 20 Twitter accounts, but if I want to add more tabs, I'm out of luck. I would love to see more tabs allowed.
