Combine multiple streams into one column
It would be super helpful to be able to create a container stream (column) that could have other streams added to it.
In other words, I would like to be able to create a column two which I could assign arbitrary stream sources.
For example, I want Home for a Twitter account for a brand, News Stream for a Facebook Page for a brand and a Twitter search related to that brand all in one column.
The options for a stream column are currently, "Filter By" and "Delete Stream." What I would see is, "Add another stream..." that would allow me to include any other stream that I could otherwise include as its own column.
At this time I need add a single stream to read the news of each group. Would be great if I can configure a single stream to read multiple groups news
For example I could choose to have all my mentions from multiple Twitter accounts in one timeline, making checking on replies/mentions a lot more convenient.
Give the option of putting all Twitter interactions @mentions, follows, RTs etc. in one stream so everything is in one easy-to-follow column.
Option to view a combined Facebook and twitter feed on a single view, rather than having to click on separate tabs to view individual feeds.
I manage a few LI profiles and I added them to HootSuite. I'd like to create one single stream (vertical pane) that aggregates status update
to collect updates from all my groups in one stream
allow updating all streams at once with indication like what tweetdeck did with columns
I really liked tweetdeck in the past because of its ability to combine facebook and twitter in one cohesive stream. I can't seem to find any option to do this on hootsuite.
With the news that Tweetdeck is going to be shut down, I'm looking for an alternative. What I was hoping to find in your app was a single timeline that includes both Facebook and Twitter (and any other stream I choose to add) that are integrated into a *single* stream, organized chronologically. Is there an option for this?
Why use a multiple account program if I can't honestly see all that information at once. Separate tabs means more clicking and less viewing. Color coding or some other indicator could help us discern where the data came from.
I'd like to be able to have a consolidated stream on the Android/Tablet/iPhone Applications. The screens are too small to flip back and forth. In fact, I'd prefer this on both the web app (as an option) as well as on mobile. I'm still using Tweetdeck because of that capability as I'm going through several streams at once...and will share across networks.
when posting new message it would be good to post to preselected groups of streams instead of each time selecting manualy the ones you want...the ALL button does not do the justice when you have over 100 streams for various projects etc..
I would like to have one feed from all networks where i can use filter for authors, topics, tags and so on to provide a feed to a certain content regardless of th network ist was published in...
I want to be able to monitor, in one stream, all the LinkedIn group posts or comments I've made and any responses to those
Such as Tweetdeck or FriendStream by HTC, it will be marvelous to have an option to merge our accunts flow in one column.
I'd love to be able to create a mentions column or a DM inbox that pulls information from multiple account. I tweet from two accounts regularly, and seeing it all in one place would make things super easy.
Create a column with merged Twitter, FB, LinkedIn... TimeLines.
Deleting duplicate messages (showing preferred network)
Google+ is emulating the facebook column layout - cos it works and is comfortable. (I find multiple streams aren't relaxing to look after a wwhile).
How about creating the option to make a 'superstream' that can combine multiple FB, TW & G+ circle feeds with simple check buttons to hide and reveal feeds?
Look at shared google calendars, its brilliant you can hide and reveal huge swodges of info with a simple click....
Its a genius idea - trust me!
Create columns where be able to blend services to see them in one single timeline
TweetDeck has brought combined columns to its ChromeDeck app - the ability to see your Twitter and Facebook streams in a single column; see all of your @replies and FB notifications in a single column, etc. This would be a tremendous asset to HootSuite as well, to maintain its competitive edge against TweetDeck.
Hootsuite is great for using multiple twitter accounts. It would be very powerful to have a column which shows ALL my mentions between ALL of my multiple twitter accounts - as it is now, i have to have a column for each account. Same goes for having a "master sent" column as well as a "master my tweets, retweeted" column
would love to be able to combine feeds. Say all mentions or all DM's from all accounts in one feed panel.
The ability to see all twitter lists in a single combined column.
a search tab where you can enter a keyword and it will pull all mentions from your various columns together for an overview... so if i have 3 facebook accounts and 2 twitter accounts in the system... and i go to the search tab and type "test" all mentions of "test" since the columns were set up would be returned.. you could reply from this view (the reply being sent from the correct account it is related to)
When using HootSuite for what it's best at (multiple accounts) it is a pain in the neck to have to have multiple columns to keep track of mentions for each account. I want them all in 1 column so I can have other columns on screen for other content.
simply have the ability to have a home feed column with more than one twitter account,...
Hello everyone! Thank you for your feedback.
While we don’t have this feature yet, it would be a fantastic addition to Hootsuite!
Our developers are continuing to review the ability to combine streams as the Hootsuite product grows and changes. Please stay tuned to this feedback forum and our Hootsuite product blog at http://blog.hootsuite.com for any future updates.
Thank you everyone!

Surprised to not have this - it would be great to combine 'mentions' from several accounts into one 'mentions' stream, so that when we reply to a user it actually comes from that network the mention was sent to
As opposed to currently where mentions to several accounts are in a single search stream and so when replying to a tweet it defaults to the account the search stream was set up under.

The lack of aggregating capacity for multiple facebook pages into categorized streams is a bit astonishing. My tenure as a Hootsuite user will be short if this functionality does not become available. One page per 'stream'? Not much of a stream if diverse content can't flow into it.

You're phasing out Seesmic, but not porting over it's main feature to your replacement app??

Create a search stream and use as search phrase: to:twitterAccount1 OR to:twitterAccount2
You'll have all mentions for both accounts on a single stream. You can add more. Since it's a search, you won't get past data, but all new data should come up fine.
What I would like to see is at least have a unified stream of mentions and one for DMs from multiple Twitter streams (not so much different networks).
Fermín, there's no basis to assume that your speculation is certain. HootSuite is anxious for a way out of this highest-in-demand feature request -- you're giving them a reason that probably doesn't exist.

This can't be done and the reason is... it's not legal. Twitter does not allow the use of their API in apps that merge streams from other social networks. Such nice guys...
Any promise of doing it in the future is kinda naive.
Scott, exactly. From the beginning, Tweetdeck had the capability and still does. Merely because it got bought by Twitter who are fighting Facebook, Tweetdeck now only supports Twitter integration, so HootSuite thinks it has the edge for many social media managers, but that laziness/market power will come back to bite them unless they start listening to their customers. HootSuite has ignored this swell of demand for years, while "Chris" said "we're considering" it in 2011.

I'm a new iOS developer and looking for ideas for new app, and thought combining multiple social media streams into one column would be something I could use. But I thought someone ould have this already created. So I found hootSuite and thought they had already created what I wanted, but seems like they aren't willing to go the extra mile to make an app I'd even use. I'll get my chance to develop the single stream app afterall. Thanks hootsuite for being so terrible, you've just help me out so much.

Due to the constant 'invalid request' bug on Seesmic, I decided to give this a shot.
Well, without the combined stream, it's unappealing. Having to constantly switch back and forth is a bit of a nuisance.
Pawel, you're just guessing. It's a bad result if HootSuite simply latches onto your comment for justification to ignore the vast majority who are asking for this. Moreover, HootSuite has never given a technical reason for refusing to include this basic feature (see, e.g., Tweetdeck).
Again, you're just guessing.

I have just realized that HootSuite may have a serious architectural problem in adding this feature due to basic design choices made long time ago. If it is indeed so no hope in having this implemented soon.
I want this too. Its a deal breaker to be honest. Especially on the mobile app
The only thing HootSuite has said about this, in October 2011, is: "We’re considering further ways to allows users to customize their streams."
2-1/2 years later, nothing. Clearly no interest in customer feedback.

Important functionality for me
This request is so obvious.. Why would we want to have 20 stream tabs when it can be consolidated into one?? All your competitors have this already! We should be able to select any accounts and display (and filter / search) in a single column.

I totally agree. I would love 1 column where i could monitor mentions for example of all my brands on twitter, etc. Would be a LOT easier than looking at each individual mention column.
I want to see a combined facebook and twitter stream. Especially in the widget.
I really hope this comes soon. Would make my life much easyer and faster workflow to just have one Home stream for all my accounts.
