Delete @mention comments
I would like the ability to delete folks off of @mentions please. Need to delete rude comments.
When someone mentions you in a tweet like "hi @bob" bob should be able to untag himself from that other persons tweet. You don't have to erase the whole tweet just get bobs name out of it. Some tweeters might not like what other tweeters are saying about them and its public to any of the persons followers. This should happen NOW!!
I would like the ability to delete folks off of @mentions please. Need to delete comments.
Provide a REMOVE feature that enables you to remove items from MENTIONS
It's not possible to delete a mention or a tweet where you're mentioned in. I'd like to see that change.
I want to have the option to delete mentions
To be able to delete the rubbish i've been sent to me for example "@someone buy this" some of this is inappropriate
About the mentions
The ability to delete mentions in my @Mentions.
I have two @mentions with links which are dodgy. I need to be able to delete these from my mentions :)
I've noticed that I tend to get a few mentions a week from Spammers, I used to use Tweetdeck which if you used their Report/Block function it removed that tweet from your mentions, can this be included in the iPad version of Hootsuite at all?
Allow users to delete mentions from obvious spammers. When blocked, Twitter should automatically delete them from mentions.
Allow us to delete or hide mentions on the Hootsuite platform. It doesn't matter if Twitter allows it... What matters is whether Hootsuite *shows* it. They don't need to be deleted off of Twitter. I just don't want to *see* them anymore on Hootsuite. You should be capable of that minor functionality.
I don't want to be a spam gateway for my followers and want to retain the integrity of my postings.
People I don't know are spamming my @mentions feed. Since people have been asking for this for over a year now, could you please add it?
Mentions are arriving containing links to dangerous web pages. Don't want that hanging around. Thanks
The Ability to Delete an: Unwanted Mention or Tweet
This will stop spammers to spoil a good timeline of twitter user. Please implement this option!
Hope to see this implemented.
people shouldnt be able to say derogatory things about my friends or myself and us not be able to untag ourselves.
i have this person on twitter who keeps mentioning me, I am extremely creeped out by said individual, and would not like any of her tweets mentioning myself showing up on my homepage
Provide an option to delete @mentions. Some are unwanted and we do not wish to be associated with the content! This is usually done by spammers or insensitive individuals.
Please allow us to BLOCK or HIDE a tweet. I have a mention with an animated gif that ANNOYS me no end and it will be there until enough mention's scroll it off the screen
someone sent me a mention that i didnt want people to see and now i cant delete it how is this possible to delete please help me thanks .
seriously, there are people posting nasty porn sites this way. help us be able to delete this. i don't want my name associated.
How do you delete an unlike mention?
If you receive a tweet or get a mention you don't like, can we delete that mention?
In the "Mentions" column there should be a delete.
An option to delete mentions or replies that others aimed at yourself, just like being able to delete your own tweets. Some people say things that you do not want others to see, or write fake RTs (as a joke I guess, but some cross the line).
Allowing for deleting of mentions would be lovely , I mentioned something by mistake, I want to remove it
Make us able to delete or hide mentions. I myself tried some test tweets, and now I'm stuck with those.
I can't see a delete button anywhere to rid my twitter and facebook feeds of unwanted content, like when a twitter spammer mentions me or when someone on my facebook spends 3 hours gaming and muddles my minifeed.
I wish HootSuite would allow for the archiving or the deletion of mentions or the ability to ignore mentions so that they do not appear in one's mentions stream.
I want to be able to remove an unsolicited mention directing me to an unwanted website so my name is not associated with it. Thank you
This isn’t a functionality that is currently available through Twitter.
you can delete them in Twitter, but not Hootsuite. I deleted some mentions on Twitter but the Hootsuite feed still shows them.
You are very insensitive for not allowing users to respond to this problem. When I have an obnoxious mention, it sits atop my Hootsuite until I get enough mentions to drive it down the page. Why do I have to keep looking at it? Why can't you provide a "hide" button? Don't you have the engineering capacity?
Are you really all that stupid and insensitive?
See how it feels?
actually if you block the person the tweets will disappear from the twitter web client but not hootsuite. YOu could also emulate the mute functionality in clients like Tweetdeck

I want the ability to untag/unmention myself from Twitter posts that think I am somebody else. I own my name on Twitter but No I am not the famous wrestler ericbischoff.

I understand you can't delete someone else's tweet mentioning your account. Like the rest of the internet, you largely can't censor what others say. What I'd like is the purely cosmetic ability to remove something from my HOOTSUITE mention stream. This IS possible on Twitter (removing from your personal view) - through blocking. Why does this not carry over to Hootsuite?
How do you delete abusive tweets that other users on twitter have posted? I have had to change my username and password, etc, but the abusive tweets still show up with my original username/screen name and I am not happy about this. I have a lovely girlfriend and if she was to view these posted tweets she would probably believe them even though they are untrue.
Please would someone who is both kind, understanding and has the knowledge to delete tweets that other users have sent on Twitter, I would be very grateful if someone could help me.
Yes, I completely agree! Otherwise the spammers win.
SAME HERE bro i am getting hate mail like niagra falls
LET US BE ALLOWED TO DELETE @MENTION COMMENTS! THIS ISN'T FAIR!
Please ....Its not for rude comments! Its because you thought you were cute till someone posted the truth ! Very annoying! If u post it .....own it!

I'm hating twitter right now!
We need to delete these harmful mentions!
I really do wish there was a way to get rid of bad mentions!

If you get spammy messages, click on their username to bring the account up on the panel. Click on the 'Report Spammer' link which will remove their posts from your Twitter timeline, doesn't report it from your Hootsuite stream for some reason but no-one should be able to see it on Twitter at least!
I agree! 'cause even if i delete the tweet that the person replied to, or if i change my username, my account is still linked to that tweet!

Besides the fact I want to delete spam from my Mentions and also an abusive comment from a fellow I don't even know..., To make it worse I have an Android app called Tweeter for LG which is considering the tweets in "mentions" as a new tweet constantly and reminding me everyday of both the spam tweet and the abusive comment in mentions ..
WHY doesn't the tweeter people include a "delete" buttom.
I think they are parte of the NWO linked up with the bankers and the social-darwinian niilists who want to make people everyday dumber and more conformed with a "control-oppressive" society ruled by Lucifer worshipers...
I've been abused today and as there is no way of taking down this insult from a complete stranger I am leaving Twitter. Not becuase of the small minded individual but because Twitter couldn't care less....you've lost another user

I also don't think this is an appropriate response. Many of these @mentions are bullying. With all the publicity going on right now with bullying and it's negative affects one would think Twitter would take a a stronger stance. I received 2 days worth of harassing mentions. Please take those more serious. Your blanket answer Danielle as a representative os Twitter, makes it sound as though the company could care less.
