Upload your own thumbnail image for Facebook Links if the link images are broken
Sometimes you try to share a link in your Facebook Page and the thumbnail Hootsuite will get you from the link is not working with you.
So you upload your own image to use it as a thumbnail for that link.
With the recent change to Facebook and 'Click Baiting', it would be nice to upload a custom image for a link instead of using one that might be on the page.
This is essential to getting engagement on FB link posts. If you are linking to a page not on your site or blog that you control, you need to be able to upload a large image to capture people's attention. I have to post 50% of my Facebook posts for multiple clients through the FB scheduler. If this was fixed along with tagging pages, Hootsuite would be perfect.
Uploading a new image for Facebook links is extremely important in getting more engagement out of your posts. Being able to upload a new one in Hootsuite would be immensely helpful. 90% of my Facebook posts are still scheduled via FB because of this.
There is a great demand of uploading thumbnails on social media profiles, primarily on Facebook and LinkedIn. LinkedIn and Facebook dashboard allows that. As per B2B company. this feature is nreally helpful.
Spredfast gives me the option to upload my own thumbnail for link previews on Facebook. Why doesn't Hootsuite? It's hard to switch when tools when you have to choose between what functionality you can loose. You should be doing everything the other guys are doing, and more. I don't always want to use the thumbnails available when I share a piece of content. I want to upload my own thumbnails.
We’ll examine if this is possible with Facebook’s API.
Please add the ability to upload your own thumbnail for linked Facebook posts. Adding a custom image leads to higher CTR.

Since FB add this capability (in the US), it has become a must have for us. Many of our link shares require perfectly sized images (or different images altogether). Please try to get this one thru your product team.
Must be possible b/c it could be done fairly easily with one of your competitor's software. Honestly pretty disappointed that HS doesn't have this feature yet. Assumed it had to be in an upgrade, but still don't see it.
