Make link shortening optional when posting via RSS feed, but keep the trackback to the original url
Make link shortening optional when posting via RSS feed, but keep the trackback to the original url in place. When posting via rss feed to ping.fm link shortening should be optional.
The RSS posting option forces you to use a link shortener. I don't want to use ow.ly when posting to LinkedIn as I want the original URL to be visible - is it possible to add an option to turn off link shortening?
When using the rss feed option to publish tweets, it would be much better to have an option to choose to shorten or not. Not shortening will show the full address allowing networks like facebook to automatically get info on the link with thumbnail etc..
Trackback is only possible with Ow.ly. As an alternative, it is possible to create a vanity short URL with Ow.ly Pro. However, you will need to shorten your source URLs.
