Just like getting a notification when your user name is in a tweet, we could set one for a particular hashtag.93 votes
We’re currently reviewing possible ways to set up notifications and alerts.
It would also be nice to be able to edit them in case there's a conflict and to be able to switch them off (this should apply to every enhancement). At the least give me post, schedule, choose network and navigate the current column. Mousing just isn't an efficient mechanism when you mostly type or read.92 votes
Since this feature request was created, we’ve added some keyboard shortcuts, such as “Shift + Enter” to send.
We continue to consider more ways to enhance HootSuite with keyboard shortcuts.
HootSuite allows us to schedule a Facebook wall post to our own wall, but it would be nice to schedule a FB wall post to a friend's wall (for example, allow me to schedule a wall post for a friend's birthday). Thanks!90 votes
We’re considering further ways to extend Facebook functionality with HootSuite.
It would be cool to integrate a video upload feature to share videos...89 votes
We hope to add video uploads in the future.
If you post a YouTube link manually it embeds on your Facebook page.
Currently, Hootsuite creates a thumbnail image and puts up a text link to a YouTube video instead of embedding it straight on Facebook.
This is way less attractive when a user is browsing their feed, so I want to suggest embedding for YouTube (and Soundcloud) implemented when posting links from Hootsuite.88 votes
We’ll look into ways of embedding YouTube videos into posts sent to Facebook.
I would like an email alert when a someone posts on a facebook page's wall I am monitoring and also when a @mention is found. Greatly helps in quick feedback and customer relations.88 votes
We appreciate the suggestion for this added functionality of Facebook Alerts to the Web Dashboard!
We will continue to investigate the possibility of adding this feature in a future update.
Thanks for submitting this!

Please get rid of the "you've been inactive for over an hour" dialog. Who cares if I have! I don't tweet every minute of every hour 24 hours a day. I often just glance at Hootsuite on my laptop once in a while while I work to see if anything worthwhile has come up. I don't reply or post at least once an hour and shouldn't be reminded of it. This dialog is completely useless and extremely annoying!87 votes
This dialogue box currently exists to preserve bandwidth. We’ll consider other alternatives for this function.
Use Case: an organization might want to have auto-updates during a certain time period (overnight or weekends for example) but wanted to manually update it during business hours.86 votes
No doubt, this is an interesting idea, and something we may offer someday to premium accounts.
Right now, it is only posting status messages. I would like to see the ability to post full notes, with an image formatted the way FB allows.85 votes
We continue to consider new ways to extend Facebook functionality with HootSuite.
Right now, the shortest HootSuite update interval is 2 minutes (unless you pull a manual update). TweetDeck has implemented realtime Twitter updating. HootSuite should do the same.84 votes
We are currently considering ways to stream social network data.
add click tracking for photos uploaded through hootsuite. the ow.ly link should provide click stats.84 votes
We’re always looking for ways to improve analytics, especially for images. We’ll look at implementing this in the future.
You - Hootsuite - are enticing users to use the new style Hootsuite without making it clear that once they switch there's no turning back. I thought, ok, I'll give it try. Within seconds it was obvious to me that it made the page far too busy and harsh on the eye. I wanted to revert back immediately but I discovered that I could not. Think you've been deceitful and underhand in that way that you've promoted the 'new style'. And turns what was perfectly simple, into a horrendously busy page, with images everywhere, repeated in many cases because of retweets. Freakin' awful and for that reason, I am looking for an alternative. Hell, I'll even try Tweetdeck to avoid the visual nightmare that you've visited upon me.

Hootsuite offers an awesome way to track ow.ly shortened URLs across accounts by giving each account it's own unique click stats. I'm more interested in using a single URL across multiple accounts. (I think this is how it used to work.)80 votes
We’ll consider further ways to make Ow.ly URLs more flexible for users’ needs.
With the Twitter API change on or about Apr 1 2013, twitter native retweets now can show up in lists. I'd like to turn them off and as per the dev documentation of a lists query for twitter, you can turn on or off native retweets with a simple flag (ow.ly/jGMvt). I'd tie this flag to a radio button for display native retweets yes/no when people add columns displaying a list.79 votes
Thanks for your feedback with this recent change. We’ll look at the possibility of adding this feature into user options in the future.
Due to our agency running managing multiple social media accounts, we are in need of more tabs! The limit of 20 is too low for an agency - especially as we are growing accounts!79 votes
The current limit tabs is due to performance considerations for web browsers. However, as technology evolves, this may be something we reformat in the future.
Have the option to mute tweets with hashtags in your timeline and lists.77 votes
We see how this feature could be useful.
Echofon does this and will remain my client until you can add this functionality. I'd rather use Hootsuite instead so I hope you will add this ability.
Again, maintain a sync of read tweets between devices AND set the window to show your oldest "new" tweet first so you can scroll up to the latest.72 votes
In the future, we hope to enable syncing across devices.
$49.00 is still too much for this service, especially when it won’t even work with the Hootlet bookmark.72 votes
We continue to consider ways to offer value to HootSuite customers.
I used to use yfrog for free, and "upgraded" to Hootsuite's paid service. I'm shocked that my tweet-text isn't showing up under the images I'm posting on ow.ly. This is a deal-breaker unless it gets fixed...72 votes
Thanks for the suggestion! We’ll definitely look at expanding what ow.ly can offer and adding this to the service in the future.
This is the one feature that I really miss from CoTweet. Basically, team members get to select whether they are "on duty" for a particular account, and if so get emails every time there is a new mention or dm. This allows us to be responsive without having to stay logged into the web app all day.71 votes
We continue to consider more features for team collaboration.
